Stags move up to 6th in xG table after win against Walsall. Mansfield Town 1.6 Walsall 0.8
The first goal was the first goal this season we have scored from a long throw although not a Ben Tozer/Will Boyle classic. Martin will be happy.
Goals from Set Pieces/Restarts = 13
Corners = 6 (1 x Short Corner, 1 x Penalty, 3 x 2nd Phase)
Free Kicks = 5 (Stephen McLaughlin x 4 and Stephen Quinn, 1 x Direct)
Penalty = 2 (Danny Johnson and Stephen McLaughlin) Penalties Missed = 2 (Oli Hawkins and Danny Johnson)
Long Throws = 1

Just like his manager. Maybe they are feeling a bit of pressure from the fans and need to big their performance up. The fans who attended mostly seem to think the result was about right and they got what they deserved.

Swindon manager was the same. Not a word about the team that beat them.

Crap team overall, full of some decent players, underperforming and under pressure to do better. They need a decent manager and a few clever signings and they'd do well.
Although on Rollin, after watching the game again he was crap. Rubbish positioning, decision making poor, desire to close things down, passing average... we've done well to get money for him. The ball to him from their keeper which Quinn beat him to despite being miles away from him summed up his game.

Not sure why other teams can’t give us any credit? It’s happened all season as far as I can see, like other teams in L2 don’t want to accept we are decent, fit, good error levels and play attractive attacking football. Most opposition managers have said we’re ‘direct’ or ‘aggressive’, nothing about how we have dominated chances and could have bagged more…
Taylor worse than most, literally can’t comprehend that we missed chances as well lol, only taking intro account a few good chances they had as a reason they should have won.. the fact we had numerous better chances we squandered and actually scored 2 must have been total flukes!

Chris Wilder said very good things about us but managers from our own leagues I can't remember many good words.

Clarke at vale was very complimentary and said we'd be up there. 10 games later is it? and we are.

I think he knew, and not just on that nights performance that we were a much better side than the table suggested

Not saying it would.
I just believe when the team you are facing are 2nd bottom its easier to sing their praises than if they are challenging you at the business end.
Maybe it's just the pessimist in me.
