Yeah it is Perch will be a big miss though.
You might laugh but all we've heard from Clough recently is "when we get James Perch back we'll be ok" well now he's not coming back what now?
It is a big blow without doubt. But to say our season is over is over the top. I remember when we won the conference title, that season we conceded 4 a few times near the start of the season and looked a shambles. We turned that around and it could happen again quite easily.

It absolutely isn’t an overreaction.
I fear that it might also be the end of his career. This is a massive massive blow. The only defender we have who shows any experience or quality. How can you underestimate this ?
Amber Andy wrote:First and formost I wish Perch a full recovery. His contribution and presence has been missed already.
Yes this is a real blow and the players must roll up their sleeves and battle for every point.
I wonder if this injury has affected the team, especially the central defenders. Is this a reason why they struggle to defend the long punt down the field, by letting the ball bounce and not winning the first headers ?

Perch has been out now for around 4 weeks I think. Thought a fracture would be relatively simple to spot??

I dont know much about Centre backs
I dont know much about papering cracks
Dont know much about failed deals
Dont know how a clean sheet feels
But I do know that Hewitts poo
And if he plays we will be leaving league 2
What a wonderful place Torquay is...

Time for Nigel to remind us how good a manager he is.
I think Rawson and Hewitt can't cope without a presence by their side. Perch provided this and by virtue of his height Hawkins is the next best thing. The jury still out with me on the new guy, but so far he seems similar to the other two. You build from the back with a solid defence. I'm not an advocate of you score two goals and we will score three.Parkinsons Perm wrote:Amber Andy wrote:I think we will be seeing Hawkins at centre half, at least until January. Why is it necessary Andy?
