It’s not.
I appreciate you’re probably just joking, but people aren’t taking it seriously enough IMO.

Try telling the publican it’s not essential.

Just letting you know I’ve also been to the pub today.
Spot on. It's like a galloping horse. Think of it as pyramid selling. This time last week relatively few confirmed cases. Now it's 3,000 confirmed cases. Anything we can do to slow down the spread we absolutely should be doing.Dan wrote:Foresttownstag wrote:Dan wrote:Boris's own father was on tele yesterday morning saying he would still go to the pub!

Then you are an idiot Jack. And an even bigger idiot for thinking you're being big and clever & boasting about it on here. I'd suggest you grow up & treat this pandemic with the respect it deserves.

Jesus calm down.
People have been sent home from work to “work from home” yet flock to Asda/Tesco in droves to shop. Are they idiots too?
Surely there’s more danger of spreading in a supermarket than a pub with a few folk in it?
Either a total lockdown required or nothing, I don’t get the inconsistency.

No they're buying food to feed their family. You, for needlessly going to the pub, are an idiot. Dont worry, total lockdown is coming- why you ask - because idiots like you don't listen, still socialise and help the spread further. Seriously don't go to the pub fgs.

I took that on board and decided I would still go.
Unless I’m instructed not to go -which I haven’t - I can choose to do what I like.

You can do as you please, but don't expect not to be called selfish and don't expect the virus to stop spreading.

People like you won't be arsed about this virus until you or a family member gets it. Then you'll be blaming the government for not shutting everything down when it's just common sense to not go to places unless absolutely essential

The problem is you see this as just your risk but it’s a bigger issue. I just hope you don’t spread it to someone more vulnerable and have to have that on your conscience, would it bother you?

In an attempt to keep the virus under as much control as possible and crucially to help the NHS cope with the really serious paitents the government has issued guidelines.
Surely it makes sense to follow the guidelines. We all are having to make sacrifices and have had our hobbies and interests curtailed. These sacrifices are intended to help safeguard our and our relatives and friends well being.
I like to go and see rock and blues bands at a local venue. It's still open but Ive not gone. My neighbours are members of a local walking group. On advice from a walking association the walks have been cancelled.
As I see it a bit of disruption now to our routines is a small price to pay in order to survive this awful disease.

Well I’d already been to the supermarket where there was several hundred ppl. Using a cash machine then Touching atrolley that has had hundreds of hands on it.
Apparently that is deemed alright yet going to the pub next door where there was about 15 ppl - the locals - isn’t deemed alright. How odd.
I agree. I thought it odd about the walking group.Sneag wrote:Amber Andy wrote:We live in a free society and as such can do pretty much what we want to within the law.

Our sports association cancelled a hike in Snowdonia. Seemed a bit of an odd move to me. Hiking is probably the safest outdoor activity going at the moment.
