Let it go
Let what go? All I did was point out that averages isn't indicative of total budget.
Last I checked bud, this is a discussion forum and money rules in football. It is not out of the question for fans to discuss how much we are paying players.
I'm not of the opinion that top 3 budget guarantees top 3. I do believe that a top 3 budget should make us competitive for a top 3 spot (hence my belief that DF should have stayed, 4th is not a bad return on a top 3 budget all things considered). No matter how you dress it up, we are nowhere near competing this season and need one hell of a run to compete for a repeat finish of last season. He has made a mountain out of a molehill.

Sorry, gazza. I shouldn’t have been so dismissive.
My appetite for squad budget talk was satiated weeks ago.

I forecast we would be in the bottom three by Christmas.
Watched the Port Vale game last night and it only served to increase my fears for the rest of the Season . We seem to have not only a manager who is not taking things on board and altering his style and approach (sic) ,but also an assistant Manager who seems to be watching, based on his post match interview, an entirely different game to the majority of us. The board of Director's appear reluctant to take action so I must revive my original bottom three by Christmas forecast, to one of being relegated come the end of the Season.

Teams that get promoted need the requisite amount of experience.
Teams that get relegated have often been forced to rely too much on youth.
More importantly - We can loan better youth players from other clubs in higher leagues.
I'm sorry ... but I just don't buy into this obsession with our youth team.
Ageed. Did accy lincoln Mk to name a few get up with youth? NO
People also need to realise the level of our youth team....
it's not that good. Yes they win the league a lot but the level is no where near first team. Occasionally you'll get a lad who's good enough but we cant rely on them yet.
Elsnik and Gordon both played in premier league two, the best youth league in the country and they are both league two level.
You really do come out with some crap.
Winning a crap league every year doesn't mean you're going to produce wonder kids does it. Of course you couldn't grasp that...

Very real possibility this season.
We need a total overhaul of management and players.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

The players one won't happen, not in January anyway. As we found out last January, good players are hard to come by. I think we'll have to have a big rebuild next summer as I assume quite a few players will be out of contract, and none of them have achieved anything other than a few being in the team of the year last season.
I think we'll just end up being mid table and then having another push at trying to get promotion.

Don’t care what they said. Our squad is infinitely better than theirs was.

I don't think it will either. We have been poor this season, but not bottom of the league poor. I think Stevenage or Morecambe will go down.
