Nathan Jones went to watch Port Vale play in the B Team Trophy this week. He says he still lives locally and likes to watch games of football. Perhaps JR and Carolyn should invite him to watch a game at Field Mill.

It was more in relation to the fact he'd been sacked. I didn't know his living situation

Former Stag Gavin Hurren has been appointed manager of Telford. Sad not to see him coming ‘home’ to The Mill.

So I presume this didn't happen then?

Our fans generally gush at the idea of a former Stag coming back in any capacity so there will genuinely be some that would probably have him.

Well we're not gushing at the one we've currently got.

I am surprised Richie Barker’s name is not in the frame.

He’s going to still be in charge on Saturday isn’t he, sigh.
Is there a manager in the EFL who has done a worse job than him so far this season that’s still in a job? Woodgate at Middlesbrough is perhaps the only one I think.

If you take in to account budgets, expectations for the season, squad, and then obviously results it’s difficult to find many in the Championship, L1, L2 that he is outperforming.

With Dave Smith's team. Oh just a minute, you can't get someone else's team promoted with only 12 games to go.

And Peter managed it in a tougher division, over a full season, with a comparatively small budget and after the club lost its best striker in the summer.
Oh and he was a player manager too, they're never any good.
It's a shame he wasn't given decent financial backing when we went up.

Oh now you've gone and done it! I've just had this vision of Yorkie falling to his knees in front of Barker's picture with hands clasped whispering, 'Richie, come home luv please'.
