Brilliant.

The sentiment is great but if Bury FC are going to go into liquidation then that’s just going to provide a tiny amount to their creditors and/or their chairman. The cash might be better donated to any phoenix community club run by the fans, to get them off the ground.

That’s what I mean sorry by Bury. It’s been donated to the supporters group

And what are they going to do with it? Bury FC were a farce, a financial embarrassment on the FA, EFL and Premier League with all three having sleepwalked into governance that is not fit for purpose. Worse still, god knows how many suckers were trying to help Bury FC 6 months after Dale bought the club and after these same Bury fans toasted success in the form of a promotion bought on the never-never ‘for the community’. The community didn’t get them in that mess, their MP neither got them into the mess nor saved them but milked the situation. The same Fans, MPs, talking heads and Nevilles of this world were played like a fiddle by Dale, just like we were with Haslam but we were lucky enough to survive.
Bury are, like I have said before, are dead, deceased, bought the farm, at St. Peter’s Gate etc and no amount of sentimentality is going to change the situation. The value of the their fans support and affection, don’t get me wrong i loved going to bury and had many a great day out there, means nothing when the Owner, whom the EFL can’t stop becoming an owner, only has his own financial greed in sight.
The Bury fans can’t change it, you and I can’t change it, the MPs can’t change it and sadly only the EFL can change it. But when and how change will come whilst football finances are a complete basket case is a question that does not have an answer in the foreseeable future.

I saw Leeds United play at Lowmoor Road many, many years ago. Leeds won 4-0 I think, I think that was probably in the 80's too.
