We need to be thankful for everything we have atm, even if we aren’t playing great football. Alfreton might be swapping places with Chesterfield and Notts soon

Just started reading 'Home and Away' by Dave Roberts in which he chronicles following his beloved Bromley in the Vanarama Premier League for the first time in their history in 2016. He expresses amazement at the wonders of Grimsby and Halifax as their intrepid 78 away supporters arrive at these great stadiums s. What he will make of the Prozac and Mardy Lane I don't quite know

The video of their fans nearly fighting with players is bad and funny at the same time.

That's got to be new low for them but it could galvanise the players. Copyright - DF

The Spireites are apparently going to sign Oldham winger, Gevaro Nepomuceno who has surprisingly only started 3 league games for Oldham this season. He will be a very good player for the National League.

Can't see it happening really can you? Apparently turned down a move to Shrewsbury on deadline day...can't see why he'd want to sign for a team winless and bottom of the National League. Hardly going to be a career boosting move.

Thought he was a decent player? After the game at theirs I would have taken him and their centre mid Maouche

Is that the bloke who scored one or two against us at their place?
I'd have him!

Mmmm...I can only smile when we get a good result. Today was not a good result day all round IaS.

Nothing to smile about today sporting wise, the cricket aside. Tea has been replaced by pints - Footballing Gods & JD, see what you have done to me today!

It's happened Rob. Oldham winger, Gevaro Nepomuceno, has joined Chesterfield on loan until January.

Yeah I saw it in the local news. The talk was of them actually paying a fee to sign him permanently, so I suppose the short-term loan is viable. He should be able to rip it up in that league, especially short-term, to build his stock for a permanent transfer elsewhere.
Unless Chesterfield's fortunes take a drastic U-turn now they've finally won a game, I still think he'd be mad to want to sign there permanently though.
