It is very rare that I back us,the only time I did was the time we had Greenacre and Bradley up front and my reasoning was that if they clicked 66/1 was good value.Backed each way it still yielded a better return than that poor offering.
My reasoning was wrong and I was as surprised as the bookies at the emergence of Dis,Bobby,Liam and Leroy.
Wouldn't touch 10's with a bargepole but suppose the bookies go on how well the manager is likely to get backed and finishing position the season before.

I’ve had Bradford at 9/1.
They make up my E/W 4 fold of... WBA, Pompey & Fylde

Let’s hope that price doesn’t get shorter come the start of the new season ..

Don't understand why anyone would be having a bet at this stage before the ins and outs are known.

Easy - because some of us have a track record of being useless at betting! Chuffing two nil wins - grrrr!

I’m not a gambler but maybe the odds will shorten if we get in some quality players ?

They undoubtedly will, but imagine you put your money down now and say Sweeney and CJ leave, Bishop gets offer a player/coach role than he wants to pursue and Krystian Pearce breaks his leg in training.
I won a few antepost bets last season, but waited till just before the opening game to put them on. And even then things can still change before the window shuts.

I backed the stags last season each way.I also had a bet on them reaching the play-offs at 3/1.I will bet on them again this season when we know the full squad.I am a bit concerned with regard to a recognised striker.Walker was exceptional for us and will be hard to replace.
