Only cautiously? Maybe you should start supporting the new manager like you have been telling others previously.
I always support the Stags manager ! But let's face it, it's a gamble.
I even supported SE when he was appointed ( but didn't like the appointment). Got that one right

Every manager appointments a gamble.
This appointment is no bigger a gamble than Evans...infect it’s probably less as he won’t be on as much as Evans was.

And I can guarantee you Demps won't walk if we're 4th with 11 games to go.

Agreed.
In terms of the lower league knowledge requirement, he fits like a Glove(r)

His last role was opposition analyst. Doncaster had a very good season last season and probably part down to Glover.
A good leader surrounds themselves with good people.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Their manager praised the squad for being able to adapt to different formations and styles to suit who they were playing.... Let Lee do all his analysis again, working with Dempster I think they will be a successful pair. Cant imagine Futcher did that much other than on the training ground.

Geoff, steady with the negative ‘anti-Cox’ posts or you will end up on one of your lists.

Welcome to Lee, that's a very good football head we have there to guide Dempster and keep him steady Eddy.
Good move and nice fresh face!!
Well done to JR and CR for funding again.

Totally agree with your comments. Both Dempster and Glover come across well when interviewed and hopefully they can "bounce off " each other. Exciting times ahead ? I hope so ! COYS.

Really hope Lee is a calming & diplomatic sort of character, so i can call em Dempsey & Makepeace
Had my faith restored a little, now we've got someone experienced as assistant, as i think he'll potentially compliment Demps style of play

I'll give them a pat on the back when they've achieved something. Been let down too much recently.

Fair comment Spiritater, I reserve judgement too...we have had so many false hopes and combinations of late and sad to see a new era and new plan have to start all over again so proof of the old puddings and all that.... but still give 100% support to the new team but it will not be easy getting out of the league and automatic is the ONLY safe bet.

Glover has a reasonable CV. His experience in league 1 could be an asset, given that is our target.
Like others on here - I would have been concerned if Paul Cox had have got the job. I will be eternally grateful to PC for getting us out of the Conference - I just don't think he would be the right person to oversee the next chapter. Sometimes it is not good to go backwards.
Welcome and good luck Lee Glover!
