IMO
At the business end of the season we can't carry players that won't put in a tackle who thinks showboating is what is required to win games.
He needs to be dropped n build a midfield of.....
Bishop Tomlinson McDonald Mellis
Top 3 is the only option this season with Grant starting this is NOT achievable

He will be starting, if fit, along with Walker and Smith

Still a player that can make things happen. Vale fans think he did ok Saturday. The defence did not. Why pick on one player, when the rest were bad too. Just get behind them.

In the 10 games he has played for us we have scored 17 goals. He has either scored, assisted, or been involved in at least 9 of them.
Can any of our other 'central midfielders' do that ?
The team as a whole has not been playing well recently, but dropping the player who can make things happen won't change that.
If we want to get promoted we need him on the pitch, not on the bench.

If your going to quote statistics we've
won 6
Drew 1
Lost 3
In 36 games we've lost 50% of those games since the January window opened a closed.....

And that is Grant's fault ?

Agree, played well last night and made things happen. Set pieces were poor though

Yes, that free kick, watching on ifollow you could see what he was trying to do. was trying to thread it through. would have been epic had it paid off.

I don’t mind him trying those things, it’s nice to have that creativity, as you say when it comes off it’s brilliant to watch.

I thought he did well tonight, covered all of that final third. Monday's game is his sort of game and I think he'll show us again that early magic he showed.

Played better last night than PV but he looked injured throughout the second half, surprised he played the full 90.

So long as Lincoln play it around and on the floor, we will see Grant shine more. It's potentially more our type of game, unless they switch it to more direct

Do Lincoln play any other way?
Admittedly I’ve not seen them this season but with Reade & Akinde up front in recent games I don’t imagine they were passing and moving that much?

Watched a few highlights, they can play nice football and pass it around. I’ve said a few times and heard the same in that they can switch it from wide play to direct with two subs and it works.
Not saying it’s like watching bury, use or anyone else when in form but don’t always hoof it

Still creates though. I think tonight was a good example. of the way we should use him. Give him an hour to make his mark. If its not his day, take him off, but he has to be given the chance given how much he creates.

Different day, different ref, if he was wearing the Lincoln shirt then he might have got that pen.
He creates which a lot of our players are unable to do. He’s not a grafter unfortunately but he makes CJ and Tyler better players when he’s on the pitch.

He didn’t look happy to be subbed, he booted the side of the dugout.
