I think David Flitcroft is quite rightly complaining bearing in mind the number of penalties Lincoln have been awarded this season compared to the Stags.

Swindon Town - 7(6)
Exeter City - 7(3)
Crawley Town - 6(5)
Macclesfield Town - 6(5)
Notts County - 6(4)

Bury - 5(4)
Grimsby - 5(4)
Newport County - 5(3)
Port Vale - 4(4)
Carlisle United - 4(3)
Northampton Town - 3(3)
Morecambe FC - 3(0)
Oldham Athletic - 2(2)

Mansfield Town - 2(2)
Forest Green Rovers - 2(1)
Tranmere Rovers - 1(1)

I remember not long back that penalties for us were as rare as rocking horse pooh. I think at one stage we'd gone 80 odd games or so without one, then I think Greeny missed the first one we'd got in that time

Probably because we never got near enough the 18 yard box in those days

Lincoln are going through a quiet spell as well and some players are underperforming.

"Danny Cowley admitted too many of his players are “underperforming” after Lincoln City’s 2-2 draw with Stevenage. Cowley was underwhelmed by the performance in general. "Bruno had two good moments, which got us into the game, but there were too many who didn’t play well,” he said. “There’s been a couple who have been underperforming for a while now. After the game, it wasn’t a time to shout and scream and throw the teacups. We need to draw breath and have some quiet reflection. Everybody needs to be really honest with themselves and their performances. Then we need to do what we do best, which is come back fighting.”

Bury still seem to be going strong, but no one's running away with the league yet. We really need a good result against FGR as it's so tight at the top.

The last game against MK for us is going to be huge

Lee frecklington out for several weeks with a groin injury.

I think Bury will finish top with the good run they’re on. Our game at home to Lincoln is massive for both teams!!!

McDonalds FC have offered Lincoln an initial allocation of 3,200 tickets which could possibly increase to 6,000. Hopefully the Stags will be taking a massive following to the Franchise Stadium on the last day of the season to celebrate automatic promotion although if we won promotion on the day it would be a fantastic occasion.

Depends what we're playing for though. If it's all to play for and it's between MK and us for 3rd we'll take well more than 2.5k... closer to 4k imo.
But alas we all know what happens recently when we get that sort of backing.

I went to watch Donny Rovers v Bristol Rovers last night which Donny easily won 4-1 due to a 1st half masterclass from the young James Coppinger (38) with two goals and an assist.

Danny and Nicky Cowley were in the crowd planning their League 1 campaign next season.

They could have been running their eye over Leeds loanee, Malik Wilks, who will have plenty of League 1 clubs chasing him next season.

John Marquis is going through a bit of a dry spell and was getting a bit of stick from some of the locals. He needs a new challenge......say at Field Mill. :)

Marquis is the sort of player we could do with in Lge 2 next season.

Thing is the real team of the season is the one that finishes top. That's the end of season award you were the best side over the 46 league games. I'd happily swap with Lincoln and have 2 players in that team if it meant top spot.

This is 11 standout individuals over a season. CJ is only there because of the bids in the January window. That is all. Let's be honest here, Tyler is there because of his goals, the defenders are there because we have the best defence. The other managers vote for and they can't vote for themselves or their own players.

Well done to Matt Rhead who has signed another 1 year deal at Lincoln City along with Jason Shackell and Josh Vickers. He is now the longest serving player at Lincoln. Hopefully we will be seeing him in a few League 1 games next season.

The Cowleys are showing loyalty to the lad as a plan B option. Had a decent career with us and t'Imps and I bet if you'd have asked him when he was playing for Corby all those years ago that he'd win the Conf with us and Lincoln, get to the FA Cup 1/4 finals and play Arsenal, win the Checkatrade Trophy at Wembley, get to the playoffs last season and then win Lge 2 this season he'd have gone :hysteria:
