I'm sure this has been mentioned but thought it deserved its own thread, I thought this guy was class today.
In all the hysteria with the attacking players we have signed, this could prove to be the shrewdest signing, always seemed to be there at the right time.
I was hugely impressed and was my MOM.
Very optimistic for the coming season.
COYS!

His ball to walker for Kahn's 1st was class..
1st half I didn't rate him.. had a few easy passes but he went long and lost of the ball.. and had a few silly fouls..
2nd half was much improved
This is a Signature

He's exactly the sort of player that Evans failed to get last year. Somebody to run the game from midfield. We wouldn't have let half as many leads slip away last season with a player like him running the show.

A fantastic performance. 37? He looks like he has years left in his legs.
The sort of midfielder we've craved for years.
Supporting Mansfield Town isn't about the glory but the glamour

Reads the game well, gets about the pitch, uses the ball intelligently and can split a defence. Almost got on the scoresheet too. Great debut, as from the other four.

Best Stags midfield performance since Adam Murray retired. What a performance.

He's the kind of player we've been missing for years. Reads the game brilliantly and mops everything up. The only question mark is his age and how many games like that he can get through. Hopefully all of them!

still not convinced on flitcroft but when he said the team was 'unbalanced' i knew what he meant.
bishops position was probably the most important to fill.
i would prefer not to.

An absolute baller. Swept up pretty much everything that came his way and was that something that I don’t feel we would have had if we played say Mellis in his place. Solid today.

We knew he'd be good. We knew he's what we've lacked for a while.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

He is 37 next birthday.Having said that he didn' turn pro untill he was 25.If he was a car he would have low mileage. We look a far better team than last season.I expect us to finish at worst in the playoffs.Top three should be realistic.

Echo the other thoughts of the forum - I was so impressed how he effortlessly changed pace at will and almost glided around the park with hardly a breath out of place.......poor tackle for the booking but happy to accept that in light of everything else. Pure testament is that he wasnt substituted for any reason !!

Macca could learn a thing or two from him about playing centre midfield, and hopefully will!

I thought he's been the best signing we've done all season.....
Reminds me of Geoge Foster commands his area of the pitch well supports players going forward and defending....

Plays with his head like a seasoned professional, cracking player, cracking signing and a great senior pro. A very nice guy with loads of humility

Excellent player with obvious pedigree, should be player of the season come next year if he keeps this form going
Had a bad write up in pre season but dispelled that immediately.
Mellis also excellent though as well so between them they should cover the season with quality!!

Thought that summed it up milney
I thought you could tell his legs can't keep up with midfielders running past him in the first half....seemed to not be goal side on a few occasions?
Could be a good signing......

And yet he was written off by all the experts on here after the first PSF game against Bradford Park Close.
He’s the midfielder we’ve been crying out for.

I've known Bish for a few years and I said on here and twitter that he will turn out to be our best signing & end up being player of the season. A few on here scoffed at that mainly because of his age, but you don't have a career like he has if you've got nothing about you. What he may lack in his legs he will make up for in his brain & his experience and you can't teach that. I kept asking him to sign for us when he was released by Scunny (which was a mistake & most of their fans were gutted). The way he was treated by Notts County was a disgrace & I'm glad he went on to bigger & better things after that.
Not only is he an extremely professional person & footballer he is a top bloke as well. Look at what he did the last time he played in League Two. He'll do the same for us as well.

It’s a shame he didn’t sign for us last season! We would probably be a league 1 club right now!
