probably fit Swann in there, lose this and some fans will have squeaky bums. we will either come out firing and win well or have a hangover and score draw

Also a sponsor that's so generic and pointless it might as well not even exist

Pym

Williams
Flint
Brunt
Cargill

Clarke
Reed
Boateng

Maris

DKD
Akins

Off nights for all the forwards yesterday, so I’d go with DKD up top with Akins so Maris can come back in behind the strikers where he has a good record. Would prefer Clarke to come in for Lewis, and it’s a toss up between Boateng & Quinn but would just opt for Boateng.

Important to bounce back quickly.

Clough was gonna rest DKD against Newport so imagine he will choose to rest him on Saturday, think he looked a little tired last night.

I think it will be

It’s time to keep doing what this side has been doing all season when the dust themselves down and go again after a setback, we’ve had enough of mansfield doing a “mansfield” when the pressures on, let’s get promoted.

They’ve gone to all places we’ve struggled at and won, they put 9 past harrogate, they won at newport, don’t do all that hard work and let it slip.

Saturday won’t be an easy game, but i think we’ve got what we need to get over the line!

Just want to see a positive reaction from the lads and think team selection will be down to who’s looking freshest. If swan is still a bit off it can see him starting int he bench and coming on with determination to make an impact.

Let's see if the Manager gets it right this time...start with Maris, Clarke, Reed and Quinn in midfield....Back 4 of Williams, Flint, Brunt, Macca or Cargill...up front Swan and Nichols for pace..rest Bowery and Akins...bring on MKD second half for either Swan or Nichols...3-0 win...

Nobody did particularly well on Tuesday night so my logic is NC doesn't have any particular player to drop to the bench.

You would have thought Williams & Maris are back in contention after serving their punishment for playing well beyond that we might get a typical NC player out of position selection, I wouldn't be surprised to Macca up front.

Anyway onwards and upwards, after a bit of banter, lets do this.

Controversial, 'rest Akins', 100% correct though.

Maris and Clarke have to start.
As much as I like them alongside each other in midfield, for me this Saturday Maris should start ahead of DKD at the top of the diamond.
DKD has not been as good recently and he needs to learn to pass abit more when other players are in better positions near goal.
Swan and Nichols up top for me too with Williams back in at RB.
COYS !

Massive game this, its so important we get back to winning ways. Back to basics for me.

I think the team will be:

Pym
Williams Flint Brunt Cargill
Reed
Clarke Quinn
Maris
Akins Nichols

I think he will rest/drop DKD.

Fixture now made all ticket with no home fans in the North Stand due to the anticipated decent following from Swindon.

It’s a shame we can’t just offer the minimum to each team till the end of the season so we can maximise the North Stand each week.

It's a shame we didn't develop the Bish when crowds started increasing. I have huge sympathy for fans now missing games, I'm afraid I have little for the club and the tens/hundreds of thousands of pounds lost.

i prefer akins coming in off the bench personally, give defenders something else to think about when they are tired. let pacey forwards run them about for 50 / 60mins down the channels

Akins was poor on Tuesday but I think it was just one of those days. You cant put it down to tiredness due to the fact he was rested against Newport but we know what he’s capable of and therefore I would start him on Saturday.

I’d be surprised if it gets sorted under JRs tenure. Only my opinion but I think he won’t do it unless there’s a chance of promotion to the championship…which is a bit of a pipe dream. It’ll be too late. Hope I’m wrong and hopefully they’re looking at doing something sooner rather than later.
