Has anyone seen the facebook post about the prices in Sandys?
Some bloke reckons it's £5 for a pint of lager, and £6 for a Guinness.

Yeh Richard Cranium boycotted for about 7 mins.
Appreciated prices have gone up everywhere, but this to me is testing loyalty of those willing to spend money. Less people will go in adhoc, at those costs.

I boycotted for 14 minutes but that's only because the staff are so god damn slow

Madri was £6 at Newport and some random Brewdog lager £5 at Forest Green, so we are in line with others with our pricing really.

Always go to Spoons in town don't generally go in Patey anymore.
I can have five pints in Spoons for the price of two in SP

The Fan Zone and Sandy's is always rammed on match days, KBS is busy too, surely this suggests the price is about right.
Anyway its not all about the price, its also about the match day experience and supporting the club financially. My preference is the fan Zone with fellow Stags and a sprinkling of away supporters. If it was just about the drink then maybe I'd take a different view.
Each to their own.

It’s money back into the club, I think our owners and directors have chucked their fair share in.

whilst I agree with the sentiment, disposable cash for some is at an all time low.
people don't have the money anymore to be spending £6 on a Guinness, therefore their trade is probably lost.

Carling is £4 a pint and Guinness £5.50 now, they had not put prices up in ages and made sure they are still competitive with local pubs in the area when doing so, I think the only exception my be the Guinness is 50p more expensive but they are reviewing it I'm told.

So it's reasonable to have three points at £4 but not two at £6? And people won't spend that still??

In the Kevin Bird Suite, a pint of Staropramen was £4.50 on 23rd Jan. It was £6.30 on 13th Feb - an increase of 40%! The 9-2 win helped soften the blow but that's some increase.

Can we do this ?. Go fund me. Do we pay the ref direct or the FA ? How do we get this off the ground. Anybody got any contacts at Man City or Everton or even Forest who are experts at cheating the system?

A few non match day regulars not going won't make any difference if the vast majority of income comes on match day when it's still very busy.
The prices mentioned don't seem too bad to me, sure you can get cheaper but you can say that about loads of things. If you want to watch football cheaper you can, if you want to drink cheaper you can. If you want to drink at MTFC and watch MTFC you pay MTFC prices. It's called supply and demand.
If we go up expect prices to go up across the board. This is a business trying to compete with other businesses on and off the pitch. As with everything you can always go elsewhere. If the bar was empty the prices would come down. Its not,, so they don't.

The problem now that it is contactless tapping you don’t realise what you are paying as you never get offered a receipt.
Those accustomed to privilege may feel that equality is oppression.
