Back to what has worked best this season. Two up top, press them, plenty of shots, get the game won then make changes resting the important players. Or pick hsis favourite 11 that offers little goal threat and we make hard work of getting 3pts against the worst team in the football league.

Sounds like a man already under pressure and looks like he can’t cope with it. He obviously thinks he needs to hang his players out to dry so that the blame doesn’t stick to him.

Looks like the beginning of the end to me. Let’s hit him hard while the players are restless.
Hello! Hello! We are the North Stand Boys.

Another tough game. FGR have proved difficult to beat at Field Mill but we did beat them 1-0 with an 89th minute Matt Rhead header from a Big Ex long throw in our Championship season in the National League.

We also beat them 1-0 with a Tyler Walker goal in 2019 when Tyler was stupidly sent off in the 97th minute for abusing a linesman. Arguably cost us promotion as he would taken the penalty at Port Vale which Nicky Ajose missed.

We just have to get 6 points from the two games this week. At home against the bottom two sides who are 7 and 6 points adrift of safety. Don’t want to hear that 4 points this week is enough

Get 6 points this week against the two worst teams in the EFL, and all of a sudden the gap between us and 4th place will look a lot better. I’ll start to get very concerned about our automatic promotion credentials if we struggle to create chances against FGR and Sutton and/or can’t beat them both at home.

Bowery——Flint——Cargill——McLaughlin

Go out and attack them! Back to the diamond, back to having DKD playing at the tip of the diamond playing on the half turn between the lines and driving at their defence. Could swap Clarke for Quinn possibly.

Oh dear why bother why watch a game when you know which team will win, seems pointless.
All managers pick their favourite players, Their home form is good 6 wins 5 draws 1 loss.
Their away form excellent 7 wins 5 draws 1 loss
Forest Green Rovers will have 1 game plan stop Mansfield playing and frustrate the crowd, , with this post they are already on to a winner.
First i hope the game is on, with a cold snap coming, and after that i know the players will give 100% .
And i do not know a better time to be a Mansfield fan.
If we fail this time we will try harder next time but will give our all.
Respect is a nice word i have it for my club and other clubs football is always about shock results
Im sorry the highest goal scorers last season offered no goal threat, and you already expect 3 points.
Expectation is pill that often disappoints.

That's the formation and 11 I was about to post. It's not about the individuals but the team. Seems to want Cargill, Brunt and Reed but that unbalances the team. Swan miles off last year but we need two up top, one of which has the legs to run in behind. This takes a defender away from Akins and gives DKD the room he likes to operate in just outside their box.

How does cargill upset the balance?

I get it with brunt and reed sitting in front of the back 4 but not with Cargill at the back with flint

I think Cargill and flint need to start as centre halfs, they are both experienced pros and experienced promotions. We talk on here about shoe horning players into a side but that what we are doing with brunt and Reed, pick one or the other to sit in front of the back four.

You don't have to tell me about disappointment, I've been worshipping at Field Mill for 50 years. I'm not asking for anything radical, just that we set up and play the way we have for 90% of games this season when we've been the better side in most of them rather than the last two when we've looked a shadow of what we were.

Because Cargill rightly has his place back at CB which meant pushing Brunt into midfield when Reed was suspended, but then NC wanted all 3 in the team. I included Cargill in the Brunt Reed debate cos Nigel said in an interview that's the only way he can get all 3 in the side.

It is and Forest Green will be up for it. However, this is our game in hand and is a must win if we are to enhance our chance of an automatic promotion place. The Sutton game is equally important. Stockport and Wrexham have the financial clout to strengthen and we cannot compete. We can compete financially with Barrow and Crewe (who are becoming a real threat). So hopefully we can strengthen more than those two. Barrow play Crewe next Saturday which makes our next two home games even more crucial.

I bought a ticket in the North stand for the original game. I was told then that I had to enter via the West stand lower and be escorted to the NS by a steward. Best get there early.

Supporters who acquire tickets in the North Stand for the match should enter One Call Stadium via gates 16/17 of the Ian Greaves Stand. Before being escorted by stewards to the North Stand, there will be a secondary checkpoint for tickets, which will be conducted in between the Ian Greaves and North Stand.

Home supporters in the North Stand will have access to portable toilets as well as an additional refreshment kiosk. Alcohol will not be available, however, home supporters in the North Stand can access the kiosks in the Ian Greaves lower tier and in the Fan Zone area outside Sandy’s Bar & Kitchen, at half-time.

To segregate home and away supporters, netting will separate the seating areas while barriers will be in place at the rear of the stand.

After the match, home supporters in the North Stand should exit via gate 12 and then through the Ian Greaves Stand car park and onto Quarry Lane. The gate in between the Ian Greaves Stand and North Stand will be closed as normal and therefore, exiting the stadium via Portland Retail Park for home supporters will not be accessible.

Reed and brunt not working.both have been below par when together.l would play reed rather than brunt as he is better in that position.l would put Lewis right back.bowery went missing for their goal just as he did last season at Harrogate l think.swan to start with akins as not much alternative.wind the clock back and cook and reid together would look good.

Can't see Clarke playing two games Saturday and Tuesday, he will be in cotton wool until Saturday.

I’d think that we may even want the game off to give the players some rest and give us time to get fresh blood in.
