Another good read Josh!

Your answer to your daughter's question should have been, "If we carry on with this injury crisis, Cloughie will be calling you up to the first team if you keep your scoring rate going!"

Agree with the others, great column Josh. And also agree that it's in our Stags DNA to be waiting for any crash coming around the corner. Good luck to your daughter too, hope she continues to progress to whatever she wants to be.

During a week with no midweek game what a joy to read about the club and not just the results and looking for someone to blame.
A open reflection of the club and its work in the community and its openness to embrace new faces.
I also relate to the joy and despair for fans who cannot attend every game and if they cannot get a ticket are pleased to see Mansfield doing so well.
With no game in midweek you have rescued my long wait. It would be nice to see your daughter at One Call playing in front of 4 stands.
but three would still be great

 She's a Rhys Oates run with the ball type - so a like-for-like swap!

A great piece which captures the day so well. "like a chavvy Agincourt" did make me smile!

love that photo of Radford and Hymas - but really for the spontaneously glum expressions on those poor sadpie faces around them - long may the run continue - but it's just a stat - when it ends we get up and start another

It's also perfect because John's arm is covering the face of a certain person who brings nothing but embarrassment to our region.

Yes, well shot

I wouldn't have included it if his face had been visible.

I work mainly in Ashfield and meet many residents through my work, I think you might be in for a shock as they seem to love him (the majority I meet) as unfortunately "he speaks their language" is the common theme? :?

I don't doubt he has his appeal to some people, but even the safest Tories are shuffling nervously in their seats at the moment.

Shirely if the club owners invite MPs into the directors box, then perhaps you should be telling them to keep politics out of the club?

Johnny sits with MPs people are going to talk about it and when their presence (be that a skiver like Meale racist oaf like Anderson, for balance) brings the club into disrepute then it becomes Stags related whether you like it or not.
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.

Seriously? No one is giving a political opinion. We're commenting on the fact that he was there. It's Stags related and perfectly relevant.

Thank you, both!

After seeing what the Premier League is like I'm not sure I'd want to get there. 1 season maybe :coys:

Really nice piece and interesting that you highlighted the baggage we carry as Stags fans not yet daring to believe it is our year.
The bit about your Gran tolerating the sporting interests of the family without actually enjoying them herself did make me smile. Thank god for indulgent grans!!!!!
