A bit of shameless self-promotion, but hopefully this is of interest to some of you.
I'll be writing Leftlion's (Nottingham-based mag) monthly Stags column. Here's the first one. Hope you enjoy!

An excellent article Josh that really sums up following the Stags! Loved your Barnet anecdote, I was there and remember that last minute goal
Mansfield Town, my club even though been exiled in London since 1983.

Apologies to all Stags fans for that. 12-year-old me thought Andy King and the players must have hated me for that. I was sure they'd say something at the next home game!
My dad has just read it and has formally pardoned me, 27 years later!

Yep, echo the above comments. An interesting, well-written piece. Look forward to the next instalment!
And well done, Mr Pickering Sr, for forgiving young Josh

Can we appeal against that pardon? 27 years is nowhere long enough for such a heinous act of utter betrayal.

A lovely piece of writing, Josh. I liked the "like an unshakable hereditary disease, passed from grandfather to father to me" line

Really good read. Was starting to think all Stags fans were pessimistic grumps. Well done for restoring my faith in us as fans and in the team
