If Gordon goes then we definitely need to bring in another defender in my opinion, even more so if we are going to continue playing the back 5.

Hewitt would obviously be the natural cover for Johnson at RB/RWB which is fine, but then Hewitt moving across would leave a gap in the middle.

Having just 5 players in Johnson, Hewitt, Kilgour, Perch, and Harbottle as viable options to cover 4 positions in a back 5 is leaving it ridiculously thin and not a risk worth taking. Looks worse if you then take the left back situation in to account.

Harsh on JJ but he has been miles off the pace this year and doesn’t fill me with confidence anymore.

Not to Grimsby, no.

Shame really, plenty of raw ability but he’s a bit of a headless chicken half the time.

never a defender

I agree with what was said on here that defensively, Gordon is on a par with Steve Istead!!!

Barrow have signed striker Ged Garner from Fleetwood for a record fee for them.

Good signing, as several clubs were interested.

It's not out the realms of possibility. It is unlikely. He's hardly played as a CF so a club could have asked he play (he'd be playing either way) and will have a look before they bid.
