Always liked James Clarke, thought he was a goid player who just needed to concentrate a little more defensively, going forward he was a handful and still only young.

Does Nigel believe James has improved whilst at Solihull, maybe?

My view is if we don't get promoted this year he is worth another year to develop and become a regular, if we do get fortunate and go up maybe he should be released.

He is playing regularly in a team which appears to play a decent style of football and, from what highlights I have seen, appears to have developed quite a bit.
To my mind, he is a league standard player and hope we keep him

I'm a bit surprised at this... I thunk the experience he has been gaining at SM has improved his game, Abd thought he could be pushing for a First team place here next season.

Best of luck to him... Always gave everything and deserves a successful career.

Out of contract in the summer and I doubt clough would have given him another contract and even if he did James might have turned it down for regular football. So getting a deal for him now and potential sell on fee could be good for the club.

He’s not really good enough for next year in League One.

I really wanted him to do well but I think we are going to have to get used to this happening with Ali Smith and him already having left under Clough and, I suspect, Tyrese Sinclair, Keaton Ward and Jason law who could all end up being released to National League sides at the end of the year.
A good bit of business in that he knows he is sorted for next season.
