Thanks for posting this Dan and to all others for their positive replies.

It certainly was an incredible experience.

The final book edit is really good although it's definitely lost some of its roughness and raw emotion.

I'm excited but actually dreading the response as it's a really brutally honest read (too honest).

Still a number of charities have already benefitted and will continue to do so as I look to live up to his mantra of "Be Good".

No worries mate I just wish I'd seen it sooner. It should be made into a film, I think it would be a brilliant watch. And if we win the league/go up this season it would be a perfect ending.

I have really enjoyed Broomo's contributions to this forum - and I was dismayed at the way some people treated him & Bear. We are a community and are all on the same side. We may have different opinions. But please let's be nice to each other and encourage (not discourage) people from enhancing our great forum.

Completely agree. The people who have done that know who they are and they're a hundred times less welcome here than Broomo and Bear.

Great story and I'm so glad we have Nigel. His recent interview and the comment about Hewitt being good mates with the Bradford winger and not wanting to tackle him, was straight from his dad's book!

Can’t resist spoiling it could you. Luckily, you’re not the arbiter of who is welcome and isn’t.

What is so amazing is how these stories eventually come out (refering to Broom and to Marvellous which is well worth watching) I hope there is a meaningful film in this one too. Thanks for sharing and keen to get the book.

Brilliant Story and didn't actually realise who Broomo was until recently, looking forward to the book

Produced a feature for a magazine about Craig! Stills shot on old film looked great https://www.instagram.com/p/B7bR_hIBjFq/

We wanted to produce a short Documentary series about remarkable football stories with Copa90 including this but didn't have the budget sadly.. Agree with the above, it would make a great film.

Is that you Ross?

Really enjoyed the day, it was a long one but the chats made it fly by.

Obviously me being a natural male model in both looks and poise helped ;-)

Didn't realise you were a Stags fan, seem to remember you being from around Manchester way!!

A truly inspiring story, encapsulating the absolute best and worst in human nature. Beautifully illustrating how one person's acts of kindness & generosity can literally shape & influence our lives and outlook in general.

It also underlines how someone appearing so forthright & blunt as Cloughie retained an air of modesty, by keeping such a personal aspect away from the media limelight.

Its easy to understand why Broomo idolises Cloughie and family alike

Oh my. That explains such a lot. There’s no winner in this. I hope Craig gets his wish.

It is a humbling story Broomo despite your regrets it's still quite inspirational.

Wonderful story, a lesson to us all. People can do strange things at times and live a long time regretting it.

Keep safe Broomo.

Wow Broomo, what a story. You are a good man who has overcome great adversity and I for one am really happy that you are following our beloved Stags. Brian Clough really was an amazing guy, on and off the field.
