Sounds like they have been picking bricks up from the bottom of a swimming pool, its a problem if you can not swim,
Oh dear going away for a few days, Ben Turner said they had a great time bonding, and Clough was brilliant with them,
Its nice to see youth involved with the first team squad,

Whats Ben Turner got to do with this?

Ben Turner does a pod cast and mentions Clough taking players for a break.. [Ben Turner interview] football fan podcast part 2 [you tube ]

For a second I thought he'd been training with us as well as Keogh

He’ll start Hawkins or a 80% for Rawson/Perch over Cooper surely.

Probably, I was going off none of the lads isolating being involved.

Is there a bit of journalist sensationalism here? Do these players actually have COVID, or are they isolating as a precaution?
Assuming it is the later, whilst it is far from ideal - can't the 'self-isolating' players still work hard on their personal fitness and under remote supervision? Can they train in a 'remote(ish)' location. Not ideal, but perhaps not as bad as a post injury rehabilitation.
Hopefully we have the means to mitigate the impact here?

Because Hes talking about centre mid, starting 11 quality, he always plays Charsley out wide doesn't he or only when he really needs him, don't see him being close to a first choice name. Same with why he doesn't mention Knowles.

Think he sees him as more of a utility player, I like him, scored and assisted a few but plenty of room for him to improve before I'm worried about losing him, wouldn't bother me at the minute.

`Is there a bit of journalist sensationalism here?`
The article faithfully represents Clough's words, if you read it.
Clough: “That 10 days they've missed I don't think they will catch up.
“We're looking ahead to the first game three weeks on Saturday and it puts them in doubt as they will be behind fitness-wise.
“It can affect you throughout the season.

And `Do these players actually have COVID`:
Clough: “I think we have had one or two positive tests”

I think Knowles is probably 6th choice at the moment. The 3 new strikers, plus Bowrey and now Sinclair looking really impressive. Knowles & Caine might have to go out on loan for a bit.

Thanks for clarifying Martin. They were genuine questions. Hopefully in the 'non-positive' cases we can still mitigate the impact to some extent.

Nigel Clough told Jake Garner of BBC Radio Nottingham, interview available on iFollow Stags:
Jake Garner: `Corey O'Keeffe and Rollin Menayese got some minutes at Retford. Are they working their way back into your thoughts, or is it just a case of keeping them fit?`
Nigel Clough: "It's just a case of filling in for us when we needed some bodies. And being fair to them, they've trained with the first team so far. But the situation hasn't changed for them."

On Rhys Oates:
Nigel Clough: "He turned down far better deals elsewhere. Two in the Conference, one of which was 40% higher than what we're paying him. He wanted to stay in the League, he wanted to come and have a go with us here."

I think Lapslie will have a fight on his hands this year but great competition for places.

Interesting Sinclair is now talked about as a forward ( which I think he is). Squad is looking good

Which fully implies that you didn't think Coughlan was a proper boss, and that he didn't know about players, yet you still blindly supported every fart that came out his backside. Which by the way doesn't make you a loyal supporter, it just makes you a fool to not admit what you clearly saw.
