Is there a bit of journalist sensationalism here? Do these players actually have COVID, or are they isolating as a precaution?
Assuming it is the later, whilst it is far from ideal - can't the 'self-isolating' players still work hard on their personal fitness and under remote supervision? Can they train in a 'remote(ish)' location. Not ideal, but perhaps not as bad as a post injury rehabilitation.
Hopefully we have the means to mitigate the impact here?

He never mentions Charsley when he talks about his midfield options. His goals/assists stats were up there last season.

Because Hes talking about centre mid, starting 11 quality, he always plays Charsley out wide doesn't he or only when he really needs him, don't see him being close to a first choice name. Same with why he doesn't mention Knowles.

Think he sees him as more of a utility player, I like him, scored and assisted a few but plenty of room for him to improve before I'm worried about losing him, wouldn't bother me at the minute.

I think Knowles is probably 6th choice at the moment. The 3 new strikers, plus Bowrey and now Sinclair looking really impressive. Knowles & Caine might have to go out on loan for a bit.

Which fully implies that you didn't think Coughlan was a proper boss, and that he didn't know about players, yet you still blindly supported every fart that came out his backside. Which by the way doesn't make you a loyal supporter, it just makes you a fool to not admit what you clearly saw.
