Batty was a very good played. Certainly better than some of the central midfielders we have at the moment.

Name me one England midfielder in the squad that Batty is better than......

I'll wait.....

Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips for sure, on their current ability. They may go on to improve past him. I wouldn't say he is better than Henderson. Those are three that play the same or similar type of role.

Us and Wales definitely have the easier side of the draw.

Hoping for an England Vs Wales Semifinal.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

That was a ridiculous red card! What is the point having VAR when decisions like this are allowed to stand?

If you hadn't been born Englesh, scots, Welsh or Irish & you could choose any other nationality what would you opt for?

Me I'd want to be Italian. I've always loved Italian football, great food, snappy dressers, fit women & a bostin tune for the national anthem.

Dutch, its just a nicer place to live than here, the sporting facilities are outstanding and the people are great. Domestic football is pretty crap but nationally they have had some truly great teams.

Italy wins the national anthem, but its not a great place to live (and drive!), some really poor areas and if you think our politicians are corrupt, well Italy invented it!

Once you've driven in Italy for a while, it makes a bit more sense. Concentrate on what's happening in front of you and forget everything else. An indicator means I'm changing lanes NOW, mirrors are pretty irrelevant

The French national anthem is pretty bangin, our enemies are going to kill our kids, so we'de better water the fields with their blood. (knocks GSTQ into a cocked hat)

So for me its, Italian women, German football, Portuguese friendliness, Spanish weather, and the French anthem. :)

Roll on Tuesday - beat the Germans and the confidence just might ............ well you know :shh:

If Moore's yellow and Wilson's red were both correct then we will be watching matches between 18 players in League 2 next season.

I thought Wilson’s foul was a deliberate cynical hack down of a player who was getting away from him, I’m not a ref so is that a red card ??

I haven't seen anyone else saying it was more than a yellow

I think it would have been a yellow earlier on in the game, but think the ref was trying to stop things getting out of hand, the challenges were starting to get a bit fruity, and the game was in effect over.

It's been found to be untrue, they did have a forward gear fitted in the tanks,
It was in case they got attacked from behind. :D

Absolutely fair and he had already shown inconsistencies in his actions so I'm line with a poor performance.

At the time it looked pure petulance and a deliberate kick at the player because Wales were about to lose heavily. I was a little surprised at the red but didn’t think it was too harsh.

Looking at it again, that doesn’t come across so much but it was still a cynical swipe at a player showing a clean pair of heels. He was only just still in range to kick. Maybe if a few more of those were red, we wouldn’t get so many professional fouls.

Overall harsh but not wrong in my opinion.

Either Italian, as you say, or Dutch as Rob says.

I’ve lived in both countries and like both for differing reasons. Italy is a free for all. Good weather, food and a stress free approach to life that is refreshing. Has its downsides too, corruption, lawlessness and a couple of others. I like Holland for the opposite reason for Italy. The people are friendly and welcoming. Cosmopolitan and intelligent. Food is also good. I should be in Holland right now at the MotoGP if it wasn’t for Covid.
