Real opportunity to make the recent good run return some real noticeable improvement.

Win tonight - we're 12th and looking up at the playoffs rather than the drop zone
Lose tonight (followed by a tough game on Sat) - we're back in the pack towards the bottom end

Big game, hope Sunday didn't dent the momentum too much and we push on in the league.

Going for 0-2 (Sweeney, Lapslie)

COYS!!!

Sadly I agree, would take a draw now. Feel like it will be like the weekend. Play in bursts and conserve energy.

The forecast is for non-stop heavy rain right through the day and evening, so the match will only go ahead if it's a remarkably well drained pitch.

If Clark and hopefully Perch are back, I can see us winning this or at least not losing.

It may be a bit touch and go without them but at least a point is achievable whatever the team is.

After Sunday can only see us getting thumped tonight if the game goes ahead 3-0

I feel blessed that I never had to stand in the trenches with someone as negative and defeatist as you.

Oldham have lost five on the spin at home and been poor at home all season but recently won 4-2 at Newport.
Hard to predict but confident/hoping for a win but was desperately confident of a win that Easter Monday a few years back that would have cemented our promotion to league 1 (it's not normally a place we do well at)
First match : 04.01.1975 home v Cambridge Utd F.A.Cup 3rd Round 1-0 Clarke

Interesting team! Same formation I expect with McLaughlin playing left back, and Charsley coming in to the midfield. Be interesting to see how he fares in there.

Same formation. Two wingers at fullback. Bowrey on left wing.

Looks like a 4-3-3 so could be interesting. I would have liked to see O’Keefe continue at right back as I don’t trust Gordon there and thought O’Keefe had a reasonable game on Sunday.

No Perch or Clarke which is a shame. I hope the centre three have the legs to compete for 90 minutes on what should be a very heavy pitch as the bench looks a bit threadbare again where the midfield is concerned.

You don't trust Gordon at RB, what about Heart The Size of a Pea at LB???

When we have the ball we have the players to attack. If we come under pressure like Sunday do we have the players to defend.

I do trust him more than Gordon but he would not be my first choice. Gordon is a total liability as a defender as far as I’m concerned. I suspect Benning has a slight knock or why would he drop to the bench?.

Clough could be playing a different formation for all I know but it looks four at the back to me.

Fair enough, let's see how it pans out without the influential Clarke again and only two natural defenders in there
