Thanks. That snow was quite bad. Fair play to get the game completed.

Port Vale "Praise or Grumble" on BBC Radio Stoke. They are not happy bunnies. Some complaints about signing Theo Robinson instead of Nicky Maynard.

John Askey did an unbelievable job to get Macclesfield promoted from the National League. He also did well last season and may well have got Port Vale promoted but for the early end to the season due to the lockdown. He's clearly struggling at the moment. 11 games ago with two minutes to go at home against Tranmere, Port Vale were 3-2 up and 3rd in the table.

I think John Askey can keep Port Vale up. It's a big test for the new Port Vale owners who appear to be genuine decent fans who are doing a lot of great work in the local community. They have already lost £1 million this season due to no crowds being allowed in grounds.

I didn't know that John Askey's father played 200 league games for Port Vale as a right winger.

John Askey's Port Vale League Record
2018-2019: P15 W4 D4 L7
2019-2020: P37 W14 D15 L8
2020-2021: P22 W7 D4 L11
Total: P74 W25 D23 L26 (Win Rate: 33.7%)

I think they’ll sack him now.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned but I’ve just seen it elsewhere.

Apparently Jordan Bowery’s dad Bert was Brian Cloughs first signing for Nottingham Forest.

I remember Bert was a big lad .

Theirs but to do and die
Into the valley of Death
Rode the Six Hundred

He really does know how to hold an interview.
Liked the way he mentioned Maynard (another 2 weeks) without even being asked, the importance of goal difference and a chance missed, stetch's important save at 2-0.

That first goal looks like a set move from the throw in, and I’ve certainly seen it before where Charsley drives in having taken the ball of Lapslie.

As soon as the ball goes out they both go to very specific positions. Lapslie pins the defender and Perch knows exactly what to do. Good to see.
