One metre apart between spectators or households I think is required. Cambridge had two spare seats either side and a spare row behind and in front to achieve this. As far as I understood, this was how Mansfield sold the season tickets. There may be other ways to achieve it. I read about a chess board effect at some clubs.
Chess board effect wouldn't work as wherever you sit there will be somebody breathing down your neck, if you mean alternate seats on each row.
The way we have sold our season tickets would give this effect in a block of seats :
OXXOXXOXXO
XXXXXXXXXX
OXXOXXOXXO
XXXXXXXXXX
the chess board would be :
OXOXOXOXOX
XOXOXOXOXO
OXOXOXOXOX
XOXOXOXOXO
With how close together the rows and seats are in most stands there is no way that would achieve even 1m distancing, never mind 2m.
