Really good half.

The midfield looks a million times better than it has for years.

O'Keefe looks excellent and big Andy Cook bossing it up top.

We have put loads of good balls into the box, only a.matter of time before one ends up in the onion bag

Frustrating. We were on top for most of that half without making it count. O’Keefe is my pick of the players so far... it would be Andy Cook if he didn’t whinge quite so much.

Very good first half.

If I was being hyper-critical. Bowery should have at least shot and Stech seems a little hesitant in whether to come out for the ball, Benning been hit and miss. An encouraging 1st half. Not really much to complain about, as I said being hyper-critical.

Let's hope come full time we aren't going to regret not taking our chances in the first half.

Both sides appear rusty and are cancelling each other out at the moment. Plenty of effort and endeavour and I’m sure things will improve with match time. The ball is spending too much time in the air for me if we are going to have a successful season but as I say we are still rusty.

Here’s hoping for three points

Stags have dominated the game and deserve to be leading. Mal Benning looks like he has been practising long throws down the line to Andy Cook. We did this three times in the first 15 minutes. Andy Cook has been very good in the air and also won possession well to set up Jordan Bowery who should have scored. Corey O'Keeffe has whipped in a couple of great crosses and there were a few times he should have had a shot or smashed it across goal.

George Maris has played well in midfield hunting down the ball with Harry Charsley. Ollie Clarke has not got involved as much as he did against Man City U21.

I have been very impressed with the back three winning the ball in the air particularly Rollin Menayese and Farrend Rawson. Ryan Sweeney made a couple of great blocks. Mal Benning has got forward well but still tends to chase the ball when defending instead of staying with his man. Marek Stech made a good save from a snap shot by Kieran Morris.

Jordan Bowery has been the main disappointment. I might be tempted to sub him for Jamie Reid.

Another brilliant chance by Bowery, he’s got to be more clinical, getting in good positions though.

Cook looks a different player to the one we had last season

O'Keefe ripping them a new one on his side

Approaching 60 minutes , still 0-0 but the stags have put more effort in to it . Time for the manager to earn his money.

A fired up cook will be an asset in this league.

Has any season ticket holder been able to access ifollow with the code ? I tried 4 or 5 times only to get "invalid code". Given up now.
