I was on BBC Radio Nottingham earlier this evening talking about the first day of the league season tomorrow. For anyone interested, here's what I said

I would love to see a win like Watford's win over Middlesbrough last night. 1-0 with a goal from a corner.

I think we will storm into a 2-0 half time lead with goals from Ollie Clarke and Danny Rose. Manny Monthe will finally pull a goal back from a corner after heading three other attempts over the bar. A disastrous back pass by O'Driscoll/Benning/Menayese then allows Stefan Payne to round Marek Stech and equalise. Otis Khan will then bag a brace scoring from a free kick and a tap in after a defensive mix up. He will not score again for 18 months. Tyrese Sinclair will come off the bench and curl in a free kick before Jamie Reid, pumped up after his mid week performance in the photo shoot, also comes off the bench and smashes in a late equaliser screaming "Come On" into an empty stand. 4-4. GC will say after the game that whoever finishes above Tranmere will finish in the automatic promotion places.

Team is pretty much as I expected. Thought Rose would start and would’ve done but for injury, and thought maybe Perch instead of Maris for experience, but happy to see Maris in there.

I can only remember once Khan having an impact on a game, that was against Newport when he first came to us. Every week, home or away, afterwards, I hoped he would be given the go ahead to do what he promised. Sadly this never happened
After today I wish him the best, a skilful player but his heart was never in it here.

Funnily I thought he played very well away at Tranmere.

Seems like the timing of Maynard / Reid coming on will be key

He made me smile when he said he thought there would be close to 10,000 there if crowds were allowed in.

We’ve not seen that many at any time since the stadium rebuild and I would have thought that 4,000 would have been more realistic.
