I'd like a win out of this, then probably expect 2 draws from Orient away and Exeter at home. 5 points from 9 would be good enough for me from the opening 3 games.

Going for 2-0. O'Driscoll and O. Clarke your goalscorers ladies and gentlemen....

You can’t keep posting that someone has the “audacity” to think and post what they want.

I appreciate sometimes living in a happy, clapping simpleton universe would be amazing but sadly sometimes see it how it is.

I think tranmere will nick it in fairness, but I hope to god that I’m wrong and we smash them, I think we’ll go far with the manager in place but maybe need more time to gel.

My head says 2-0 to Tranmere, as we still present chances at the back, and don't look like scoring until we gel a bit more.

Heart says we go for it with intensity and go 2-0 up at half time, then spend the second half clinging on and nick a 2-1 win

You mean I have 'thats the spirit' in copy and paste? I know other people say it, but it's not always me. I can't remember the last time I said that, unless you've been keeping count?

I think this one could go either way. Or it might end up being a draw.

We’re unbeaten in our first home game of the season for the last seven years. Unbeaten on the opening day for the last five.

Having, in my opinion, had an appalling start to the season with competitive games used as friendlies, now is the time to begin, again. At 3 pm Saturday the gloves are off, pre-season preparations are done and last season is a far off memory consigned to the past and the history books.

At 3 pm on Saturday, Graham’s side has the hopes, aspirations and dreams of the Mansfield faithful, floating and football fans in his hands. We have had enough of COVID, enough of this new normal, enough of last seasons embarrassing unprofessional attempt at the holy grail and enough of waiting.

At 3 pm on Saturday we don’t want a lackluster side treating an empty stadium as another competitive friendly game; We don’t want 11 players defending a corner; we don’t want to be cautious in the build up; we don’t the keeper being beaten at the near post and across his body; we don’t want a lack of goals; we don’t want defenders that aren’t tight to their man or want to put a tackle in; we don’t want to be asking where is the midfield, again; we don’t want diving, ranting, raving and behaving in a Tomlinesque manner and we don’t want the more of same awful football, atmosphere and disillusionment of last season.

At 3 pm on Saturday we want to see a side come out of the traps screaming; wanting the ball; defending like titans; a goal keeper pulling off heroics if needed; getting tight being understood; players behaving as we want them; a team that has gelled as it has long enough to; chances made, missed and scored; players giving the phantom 110%, players respecting the officials and colleagues and more importantly we want something to cheer and lift us from this gloom and despair of the new normal.

Is it too much to ask? I hope not.

My head is saying two one to the Stags after a shaky start with my heart (and Book maker) saying 2 -0 to us. But more important than the score line is don’t waste our hope, dreams, energy and loyalty.

Come on you Stags

Head says 1-0 to us at half time then go on to lose 2-4. We seem to be conceding lots in the 2nd half especially after an hour or so.

Heart says 2-1 win for us with an 90th minute goal from Jamie Reid.
