Let's not forget we are now building and developing a team not buying one. It needs time.

One generation on from Peacock scoring two goals to humble Man City we are fielding a strong side in essence to give their young players a development game.

£10 to watch a game on tv when last season you could be there and watch for the same amount? The bean counters would be proud of that tactic, irrespective of COVID.

I want us to play well, I want us to win and I want us to be spurred on for Saturday but every passing game in this Competition Is just a layer of dust on the memories of a completion that gave us some of our greatest days in history. Shame really.

Anyway, come on you Stags.

I wouldn’t cross the road to watch this game never mind paying £10 to stream it. I find it insulting to lower league clubs that Man Cities under 21s are in it!

Here he is...
You are free to decide which games you want to watch Norman.

As Man City under 21s are currently beating us, I think your suggestion that it's insulting that they are playing us is out of order.

We've been far better this second half and deserve a goal imo.

Also good post five to three, but you know if we lose to Tranmere the wrist slitters will be out in full force crying relegation

Sinclair should have had one. Maynard had some good chances, Reid not so much. Obviously Rose and Cook have got goals in them

If you don't win your first game of the season, statistically speaking, you don't get promoted.

It's true, ask David flitcroft.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Benning should not be allowed near a free kick, that was embarrassing

So you think it’s ok that B teams are allowed in this farce of a competition?

Smith with a poor touch on the edge of his own area loses out and Delap pretty much glued the ball to his feet and finished in the far corner. Poor from Smith.

3-0. Benning tried to head back to Stech under no pressure whatsoever and misses and Delap pounces and knocks it over the advancing Stech for an easy finish.

I have to disagree with Martin, he did not stumble leading up to it. He misjudged it completely and stumbled after he attempted to head it back to Stech.

Too early to worry but at the same time not optimistic about this season having watched that. Shaky at the back and toothless up front. At least Ollie Clarke was good.

Defending is shocking. I know they’re only friendly etc and some of the opposition has been very good but we look like conceding a shed load every game. Delap could’ve had 6 tonight on his own.

Completely agree. Was found wanting on more than one occasion last season. Further reinforces the point that we need another midfielder for some proper depth.
