On the age thing, We’ve currently got 13 players who I would consider ‘first team squad’ at the moment. You would think we’ll be signing 5 more at the very least. Sharpe did say that experience will be needed in key positions.

One will be a number one keeper. Given we have Stone as a prospect, the likelihood is the keeper will be older and more experienced.

We need at least two centre halves. Sweeney is the only one at the moment. He’s played a decent amount of games for his age but is still raw at times. As central defence is a key position, at least one of those players you would expect to be older and experienced, with perhaps one younger, fitter prospect. I would say we probably need a third centre halve as well.

We need at least two central midfield players. We currently have Tomlinson and Charsley who are both rookies. It is again likely that the players signed here will be older and more experienced.

We’ve signed Reid who can be put it into the ‘sell on’ bracket. Strikers are usually the players who make the money for lower league clubs so we’ve done well there. Bowery has been brought in presumably for his experience, with Maynard and Cook likely to be gone.

So yes whilst Sharpe did say there would be a shift towards youth, the majority of the 13 first teamers on the books are still at ages where they could make the club money should they impress (Clarke, Gordon, Stone, Sweeney, Benning, CJ, Tomlinson, Charsley, Reid)

We've been stuffed by players living on the injury table before, pass. He wasn't a bad player for us, but I'm sure he was injured a long time whilst at Mansfield

I see Omar Bogle has been released by Cardiff City. Still only 26 but has made just 32 EFL league starts (13 goals) since leaving Grimsby for Wigan for £750,000 million in January 2017. He then joined Cardiff City for £1 million in August 2017.

David Sharpe will probably know him due to the Wigan connection. He's been on loan at Peterborough, Birmingham City, Portsmouth and Den Haag.

Mariners should be in the Champs League with that sorta money

It could be a fake account but they got Reid right and said we would announce him yesterday.

Stech wasn't in Luton's squad for today's game.

He hasn’t played a game all season, and has only been on the bench 8 times.

I did not ask my source about this subject and it was volunteered to me as I asked if Stone was strong enough for next season ( I think he probably is) and was told he will be back up to Stech. I said I was sceptical and was assured it was an unannounced done deal.

It’s still a fake account IMO. It’s just rehashing rumours from other places as far as I can see.
