macca released as has Jake Hessenthaler so they're both free agents... Was tongue in cheek.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

If Holloway lets a player go I’d follow his judgement but it could be a number of reasons a player leaves I guess

Why? People are talking about Holloway as if he’s some sort of messiah, he’s not achieved a promotion in seven years.

Holloway is a complete dimwit. His accent gets on my nerves too  He’s not as good as people make out. Anyone could have made that shower a bit better than previously.

That really would be a brilliant signing. Will need to get some creativity in midfield to supply him, but we knew that anyway.

Announce Doyle & Bostwick (aware he’s not the solution for creativity)

If those two are signed, we need another experienced midfielder/defender depending on where GC is planning to use Bostwick, and possibly a keeper, then I wouldn’t want to see anymore 28 plus players signed for the first team.

I cannot see Michael Bostwick being able to play in a GC pressing midfield system where they have to run 11-12k per game.

I've always thought that Bostwick is much better at centre half when I've watched him.

If I was JR then I would be reluctant to sign players even on a one year contract at the moment due to the uncertainty of the pandemic. I would be looking to negotiate deals in principle but leave signing contracts until the last minute unless the player and agent is prepared to accept no salary or a significantly reduced salary until the season starts properly.

There will be lots of League 1 and League 2 clubs who might only be able to offer short term contracts. They may also need to have the right to terminate contracts early on short notice if the season is suspended due to a second wave of coronavirus. It's a big financial gamble for any club to agree to pay players big wages for 1 or 2 years if there is a possible massive drop in income during that period.

There will probably be negotiations going off between the EFL and the PFA regarding the type of early termination/coronavirus clauses that clubs will be allowed to include in players' contracts.

Ian Henderson on a 1 year contract is worth it

Callum Camps also a good possible edition, id rather have him over someone like Tomlinson.

Think camps will move up a level, not drop down

Bostwick will be in the middle of a back 3 if we sign him.

Would be a quality signing.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

2 + 2 = 5 ?

Cook to Tranmere, leaving us with Maynard, Doyle, and Rose - would be our best strike force since the 1997-98 season when we had Whitehall, Peacock and Christie.

Ones under contract, ones not. Maynard and Doyle are similar players too, not sure they could play together.

But we are led to believe that Cook doesn't want to be here, and also we know we are in talks with Maynard. Nothing wrong with having 3 quality strikers to choose from, and as long as you use them wisely and give them all game time it keeps them hungry when they do play.
Similar players ? Yes - both goal scorers. Exactly what you want from a striker isn't it ?

Can see cook being here tbh, will many clubs want to pay for him during all this?

If he doesnt want to be here and freeing up his wages allows us to bring in somebody else, would you not cut your losses and let him go on a free ?

wouldn't we have to pay off his contract? unless both parties agree to terminate the contract. I imagine JR will want some money back
