I for one wouldn't mind Andy cook here next year, as long as he's not sulking in the reserves IE Anderson V2. He's a good goalscorer at this level

But, as he admitted, he cannot play the pressing game the manager wants. If he is going to be a bit part player from the bench then it would be more advantages, financially, to ship him out on loan, and bring a striker in who fits the managers plans.

Seems to me that being a football league manager is becoming an impossible job. I wonder how many injuries to key players they suffered in their " quality squad ".

Grimsby's players have taken a 25% reduction in salary to the start of the season and the board have promised their players that this will also apply to any new players they sign.

The Mariners could have obtained a fee for Charles Vernam if they had offered him a contract on the same terms but they offered him a contract on less money which meant he could leave for free.
