It was a night game and I was in the North Stand and he sprang up and tipped over a blistering shot from just outside the box. It may have been a free kick I can’t remember. Long shot but Martin do you (or anyone else) remember this?

Me neither, but best save for me was from Sir Rod, in the QLE, versus Sheff Wed, probably late 70's with a huge crowd. I was in the Bishop and can remember seeing the Owls fans celebrate only for Rod to tip it over the bar. Now I was only a kid, but it has stuck with me all my life. Also I remember a stunning save from Pilko, arching back to tip the ball over the bar - can't remember the game but I think it was a big one. Ian Bowling, often wrongly criticised and twice our player of the year, also made some incredible saves. We've had some great keeper, we have also had some not quite so good.
