Latics scorefred sponsored by "One Swallow"

With new found confidence and our Saturday win taking us above the Latics in the form table I think we will get the back to back wins we want and need so much. Not saying I'm at all getting superstitious about this but for Tuesday I'll go:-

A clean sheet and chances taken, 2-0 to the Mighty Stags.

Will the players be too knackered after Saturday?

If we can play like we did then I'll go for a 2-0 win

I believe Oldham had a game on Saturday too.

I'm not sure what the gameplay will be on Tuesday and would have expected a defensive display under the last manager. I do think we will be much more adventurous under GC and think 3 points will be the objective. If we can keep the standards up, we are more than capable of getting the three points and I will predict a 3-1 win.

Any win would be a great achievement and I would take a draw now if offered.

Fitness begets fitness. As they get fitter, they’ll recover better plus the actual playing at a high tempo will increase fitness too.

Shame it’s not a Saturday fixture. I reckon we would have taken over 1,000.

We took 1,334 last season on BH Monday, it was £5 a ticket then as well.

Is this Swallow African or European? Makes a big difference when you get to the ‘Bridge of Death’.

Let's not take this one lightly. Yes, even Demps managed to blow them away but they will want to "set right" their performance earlier this season. You can look at their 2 men sent off but they were poor before that happened.

This game will seal for me whether we are fully in the relegation scrap. Win and we aren't in one
Draw and we are just on the cusp of it. Lose and we're in it. At best we could go 11 points clear of the drop zone at worst 5 points. With Grimsby playing stevenage it's important we don't let Grimsby "get away"

Probably our best, if not only, chance to do the double over somebody this season.

For that reason alone we need a good display and the three points.

Blow this one and I think there is only Walsall and Scunthorpe left to go at. Off the top of my head I can't think of any other season when we have failed to do the double over at least one team.

UPDATE

I think it was in 2013/14 in our first year back in the league as far as I can see. We had 4 points out of several teams but I can't find two victories against the same team.

It would be a pity for that run to end so come on you stags.

I'm happy with a positive draw. Win our home games, draw away and we'll be fine.

4 points from this and Carlisle would be decent enough.
