Can’t keep blaming the Manager

Postby diablo » Sun Dec 29, 2019 5:03 pm

Watching the latest fiasco at Bradford it’s pretty obvious the current crop of players are quite simply not good enough. Poor basic skills, lack of composure and poor decision making . At least my prediction of being in the bottom three by Xmas was wrong but our new Manager must be wondering what he has inherited. They did try but were clearly not good enough

This. Too many bottlers on too much money. Thinking they’re better than they are and under delivering week after week

These players aren't as good has they like to think they are.

But saying that I know its early days but surely GC should start to think it's time to drop certain players who are comfortable getting the shirt on matchday

Give the youngsters a chance to put on the Jersey n flick out the time wasters stealing a wage from the money out of my wallet

Once again Tomlinson reminds me so much of Fraser MacLachan, will give you 100 per cent but arrives to tackle as the ball was moved on 5 mins ago and clogs it anywhere but to an Amber shirt

You of course still think it was a great decision  As I said, how's that gone? I'd say badly. As for being up his arse, how very childish. Dream of 14th let alone 4th now.

Youngsters? :o  ... We need to bring in some 'steely, seasoned professionals' in January - otherwise we will be in danger of being relegated. Youth players are not the answer to this predicament.

Well had DF maintained the form of the last 24 games last season into this, then we'd be sitting pretty on 27 points.

He didn't get fired because we lost a penalty shootout. He got fired because we were gash for 4 months.

On coach on way home from game, that was the worst display I have seen since we lost 1-0 to County. 1st penalty was an appalling challenge when showing signs of being on top. Huffed and puffed, but no quality. They had no chances apart from the penalties. The chipped ball to Cook is readable and penetrating very little. Subs helped but not good enough in every department. Bradford are a poor team but without doubt 2pts from three games is relegation form. I wonder what JD thinks The new manager has a real battle on his hands and some difficult decisions to make.

Wondered how long it’d be until this started.

The youth lads are getting nowhere near the squad. Certainly not under Coughlan, and certainly not in our current predicament. Relegation is a possibility.

Cocker saved the Gas from a similar situation last season in a better league.

The form and attitude of some of our players is appalling. I think GC has some pretty easy decisions to make. His new year's letter to JR goes something like this;

Dear John,

The more of these players we have to rely on, the more likely we are to get relegated. If you want me to solve it, please make significant funds available.

Yours sincerely,
Graham

January is not a great window for mass imports, expensive, not match fit, and need time to gel. A real headache

That is correct. Like it or not, this manager is mainly going to have to get the best out of this squad for the rest of this season. This will be his big challenge of the next 4 months.

Don’t agree. Signing players or bringing in a loan from higher leagues. They’ll be fit.

One or two quality loans, players who want to play, couple of free transfers and you can be away.

We need to find a new Ben Whiteman.
