I think that is very unfair to Mark Stevenson who does a very good job and who I think does ask lots of probing questions. I listen to lots of League 2 manager interviews by club media people and Mark Stevenson is as good as they come.

“You lot are a fxxxing disgrace. You’re antagonistic, confrontational – fxxxing Jeremy Paxman. You fxxxing are an absolute fxxxing disgrace of a journalist."

It looks like Michael Jolley was sacked as Grimsby manager after a massive expletive driven rant at the BBC Humberside journalists, Matt Dean, Gwilym Lloyd, and David Burns, after losing 4-0 against Leyton Orient using the f word 58 times!!

Managers are often fairly criticised for not showing enough passion. Mr Jolley certainly shows he has a bit of fire in his belly.

.....and fans have a go at JD because he does not rant and rave on the touchline and therefore he does not show enough passion.

Paul Tisdale once said that if a manager is ranting and raving then he is not actually thinking about the game and the changes he needs to make. Exeter fans used to make the same allegations against him.

Ian Holloway is odds on favourite for the Grimsby job.

Would be a very good appointment for them if it were to happen.

Be interesting to see how quickly it moves if so, his first game could be against us on Saturday! Would expect a sold out away end if so.

If only we had took a breath before rushing into replacing JD, just look who we could have had.

Given our current plight, you would rather have a manager with limited experience who favours a direct style of play over an experienced manager who has been successful in higher leagues ?

If Ian Holloway does become the Grimsby manager it will be interesting to see how our respective clubs fare.

Yes. Done exactly what Grimsby have done. Had a caretaker manager and took time to appoint the right man to take us forward.

Scoff you not ! :D

Are you actually trying to wind people up? Or just genuinely dim

Club advertised they were looking for new managers, met with possible candidates that came forward, they chose Graham, approached Bristol and offered him a contract. Carolyn has already said this.

Please show a bit of respect. You have called me a "div" and now I'm "dim". This board is about opinions. My opinion is that given the very short time between the sacking of DF and approaching GC the job cannot have been advertised in the traditional way. I'm not saying the club have acted in a wrong way. I'm simply saying they ought to have drawn breath before appointing a successor.

If you have a different opinion fair enough, but time to cut out the insults to me and others on here.

End of! :(
