One good goal since February n that was in the play off away at Newport.....
Not a great return with the amount of game time he's had.......
Once quoted a million pound player ???? What would he be worth he was a footballer.....
Needs shipping out on loan...
CJ has had ample opportunity be the first name on the team sheet nailing down a starting position that he cannot be dislodged from.He ought to be the Stags player whom kids sing songs about and pretend to be when playing footy in the playground at dinner. The kind of player whom opposition manager’s reference in their pre-match interviews, the kind of player that bullies defenders with his speed, the kind of player team mates look to when in possession as an outlet, one brimming with confidence, with match winning confidence and match winning knowledge. In short the kind of player that when the team is sat in the dressing room before a game, the other ten look at him and think, ‘We have a chance today as CJ is on the pitch’.
But he isn’t and at 24 with 100 games under his belt I don’t think he will. Consistency is the key ingredient that is missing here and unless he applies himself to achieve this I think he will become a bit part player.
Personally I want him to be as good in ninety minutes of a game as he can be in five / ten minute bursts, make the headlines, go on to bigger and better things for both himself and us, ultimately being fondly remembered in conversations like we have on here for years to come. Just sadly, I don’t think it will happen.
