Hamilton should be sent out on loan for a while to play and sharpen up.
not good enough for the bench currently and unlikely to stay long at the club in my view unless there is a drastic change but don't see it under Dumpster set up.

Not saying CJ is in the same league as Sam Clucas but its very similar....

We should have played to Sams strengths and built a side around him... instead he was often on the bench because he didn't play well out of position in the system cox used, he went off to that lot in a side that played football and did really well.

Cj has shown how good he can be... It's up to Dempster to put him into a side that plays to his strengths and gets the best out of him. He's fast as lightening and last season actually put good crosses in, found himself in great spaces and scored some good goals on his own. I think we need someone like Mellis with him...

Time will tell, but I wouldn't send out a player of the year on loan just yet.

Also don't forget just how much he's improved since he first arrived.. he was just a kid who'd played non league and was nothing but pacey, hes still young and got plenty of time. Fans need to stop turning on league two players when they don't perform to the highest standard week in week out.

We need to keep faith with CJ especially as Danny Rose could be out for 4-6 weeks and Andy Cook may struggle to last 90 minutes. We will need him this season if we are hoping to make the play offs. He is one of our main attacking threats and we need to get him back to his best. A good manager would find the system and position that suits him best or build up his confidence. He scored 14 goals last season (11 league goals).

League Games:
11 goals
6 assists
10 times involved in build up for goal
Total: 27 out of 69 goals (39.13%)

You do not give up on an attacking weapon like that.

JD, Lee Glover and Mind Man Drewe need to get him going. CJ back to his best will win games for us.
Unfortunaely we ain't got a good manager and therein lies the problem.

All league 2 clubs and most league 1 clubs would jump at the chance to have Hamilton in their starting 11.

Hamilton isn't the problem.

CJ is so frustrating to watch , he either blows hot or cold . One day a world beater ... the next a plonker .
If he started getting a good delivery over for our strikers to net , BUT nay , he always tries to go the extra yard & losers the ball ( defenders can now read his game & it surely puts him off ) .... :getmecoat:

Can’t imagine CJ getting many more chances whilst Khan appears to be providing quality into the box on a more regular basis

CJ has electric pace. Couple that with a football brain and we would have a star. He hasn't got a football brain shown by his poor decision making or no decision making at all. It's too easy to blame JD AmberAndy. By now CJ should be showing consistent performances with an end product. He just doesn't do that. A rest from the first team might do him good but sadly, I doubt it.

This is the quandary. We are fortunate to have on our books two players who on their day are the best in the division. The problem arises from the fact that they play in a rather specialised position.

As pro footballers we expect them to be adaptable to a certain degree, but they’re never going to be as effective if asked to play a role they’re not comfortable with and where they won’t be able to use their talents and skills to the best advantage of the team.

It’s no coincidence that CJ showed himself to be the player he can be last season when Otis was absent from the squad for a protracted period through injury.

Astounding by people thinking CJ should go on loan somewhere....
He's hit a rough patch yes but he was nearly sold for one million pound last season...
He's potentially a very valuable asset to to the club with the right manager..
I'd keep CJ over the current manager any day of the week and twice on sunday..
These are my opinions , if you don't like them I have others...

CJ should be our super sub, on his day and I admit not very often this season so far he can change your game, against a tired league two defence his pace could be invaluable

He will come good, he just needs an arm round him.
Our time will come

Otis Khan is not pulling any trees up although two assists in the last two games shows that he's starting to have the much needed impact on games that he should have bearing in mind he is our No 10/playmaker. However he only made 19 passes in the whole game against FGR of which 14 were successful (Will Tomlinson made 16 passes and he went off at half time!). He's only averaging 1.6 key passes per game which is joint 19th in League 2. He has also not scored any goals.

Otis Khan is one of our big signings and he needs to be a big impact player otherwise we should bring Jacob Mellis back into the team to be the No 10/playmaker.

Thnking about it, he only had "value" last season. There was strong interest in him 2 leagues higher than us. His best season for us was by far last season.

Now for facts. As a left winger for Murray, nada. Left winger for Evans, nada. RWB, LWB, CF under Flitcroft touted as a £1m player by some and refusing bids for him that were rumoured to be £750k (allegedly).

Maybe left wing just isn't his bag after all. He's not the first footballer to change positions and do well.

If you can make a good wingback, you can make a fairly good winger... WB is basically the same position plus a bit more defending.

CJ was and did get quite good at making runs behind the defence... Mellis slipped the ball through a number of times to him and I think he looked best here. Against county at home he was great at it and scored 2.. also Bury at home, he made a great run behind the last man and Mellis sent a fantastic ball over the top, it was championship stuff.

CJ started to play well under Evans and continued to improve until January last season under Flitcroft.
