Big Decision to Make

Postby bellwhiff » Tue Sep 17, 2019 8:48 pm

That is a humiliation of a score. Two things need to happen in the morning.

1. The manager needs to be relieved of his duties
2. Whoever has been advising JR needs to be kept a million miles from any new appointment process. If it is Hymas, then he needs to be sent on holiday and a proper football brain brought in to unscrew this unfolding disaster.

This score is unacceptable

Hymas is a tool who I fear has the free reign while Radford is out of town.

Him and his little England empire, promoting youth etc... he clearly thought that Dempster would bring through the youth as he was a successful youth team manager in a bid to take glory for the youth set up.

What a disaster.

He needs quarantining.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Totally agree, this is a disastrous scoreline tonight. JD is totally out of his depth. When was the last time we got beaten so comprehensively in the league at home? The players look lost, no direction from the touchline, no game plan of any description. We have gradually got worse game by game and this game revealed every one of our weaknesses.

The next appointment has to be right. It needs to be somebody who has a good track record and experience. County’s problem was getting in an unproven manager, we cannot go down that route.

Do what you can to get Phil Parkinson and Steve Parkin. They would be brilliant appointments.

If Radford doesn’t sack him he needs to walk.

It's not just the score line. It's the level of performance.it has been poor all season.

Unfit and no game plan.

Sacked, get paid compo
Walk, no compo

No manager in their right mind would walk (unless they had something else lined up in China for example)

With regret i think this sums things up. Preston getting sent off didn't help things to night.....but as London amber stags says.....we are getting worse not better.

Agree JR needs to act now. Humiliating is exactly right.

Also all this talk of a successful youth team. Is that really right? Admittedly I dont follow it much but by all accounts haven't we got a top youth setup (for our size / league position etc) but are playing below our natural level still in terms of the league and opposition? Please correct me if I'm wrong...

Preston cost us dearly tonight.Cannot understand why he played bishop and Shaughnessy in the same position.Thought we played ok first half and should have been in front. The midfield was not right.Cambridge are another average side in an average league.Dempster will probably go he has been unlucky with injuries but we are nearer to the bottom than the top so the buck stops with him. There is one certainty as a manager he will get the sack at some point.

Whether folks agree or disagree with those names, we have to line up a replacement of some pedigree before JD is replaced.

The phrase 'anyone could do better' often gets bandied around, but history shows it's clearly not the case. If a switch is done it needs to be timed with the right person being available and ready to sign

Parkinson is unemployed because he faced the impossible task at Bolton. He has a very good track record

How can managers learn if they keep getting the sack after 8/9 games.
We should of kept flitcroft even though some say he failed. I personally don't think it was him but the players.
Learn by your mistakes and don't let complacency set in.
I've had such hope in the last 2 seasons but I feel sad now.
Lee glover to take the helm til Xmas was always my thought at the start of the season.
He didn't go pre season Portugal and I'm sure was very influential in the signings of Maynard cook.

Team is completely unfit.

He has no idea about transfers and therefore had to employ a head of recruitment.

Everyone can see things unfolding on the field of play, who is having a stinker etc, what clearly needs to be changed....yet he dithers or makes no relevant tactical changes at all.

He seems to have no level of motivational skills from the sidelines.

The discipline at the club on the field, and seemingly off it with the Mellis and Donohue incident has gone.

Previous internal appointments of Russell and Murray were a disaster also....why try and think it would be third time lucky? Seriously?

There is something fundamentally wrong, and I dread to think what it could be.
With County there was far more going on behind the scenes that fans were kept blind to. Hope it's not the case with us.

Oh so if you were there then a 4-0 loss to Cambridge at home was acceptable was it? Doesn't matter about the first half or prestons red... We collapsed and all our problems shone through and it's absolutely embarrassing.... This club is going nowhere at present.

Part of me thinks clubs always sack managers too early and if they were patient things would of improved but this is a disaster... Fail to win at portvale and he's got to go.
