Otis Khan needs to start. Dion did well when he came on.
Hope the starting 11 doesn't start on Saturday.

Not long... 10/15 mins or so. Looked decent but we were dominating by that point so he didn't have a huge amount to do.

It's a good link for the club to forge though, but I couldn't care less about the Scottish Premiership, the same way I couldn't care less about the Welsh, Irish, French, Dutch leagues etc.
Or certain non league sides

Came on for the last 20 minutes, replacing Bishop. Did ok.
Couple of glorious through balls to the wings and wasn't backwards in coming forwards when it came to the engine room stuff. Left one Rangers lad wondering what had just pole axed him.
Endeavoring to persevere since 1965 (8-1 home win against QPR)

Khan wont start. He isn't a midfielder (to go in a 2 or 3), I think he's seen as someone to be back up for Maynard. Rose is back up for Cook.
If all fit I think the first 11 on Saturday will be the same as today. First away game at the hoofers he'll want all three CBs and proper wingbacks (ie not CJ). Only change would be White if fit.

Khan is most definitely a midfielder.

Would be a very conservative 11 if Dempster went that way.

He said last night. Defensive (cautious) away from home. Imagine that will be his line up

Would rather us take the initiative a bit more than say we’re going to set up defensively away from home. Some games it’s fair enough but still.
If CJ doesn’t find himself starting through August i’d be shocked if he was still here come the end of the window.

This is where it gets nebulous. Being defensive and cautious aren’t the same. It will be interesting how we play away. If we’re defensive then forget promotion.

I'll be very disappointed if we don't start with Hamilton and Khan, that starting 11 today haven't got any creativity between them.

Who were the standout Rangers players? Dempster mentions hopefully loaning one or some...

The attacking players were pretty much 1st team fringe players. Number 6 who was on loan at bury last season impressed me again. That's 2 games against us and I don't think he gave the ball away once.

Jamie Barjonas only played four games for Bury last season, and they were all sub appearances for a total of 24 minutes. He only played 8 minutes against us. I think you must be thinking of someone else, Jordan Rossiter maybe.

Khan obviously has and can play central midfield but my point is the same. Would anyone really risk him in a 442 midfield or as one of the 3 with wing backs? Especially when the first game is away to a football side who will give us nothing.
This pre season hes taken up 3 different positions at time (from what I've seen). Up front, behind the front man/men or wide...
Hes looked good and I like the lad but I just dont see where he fits. Ths front two are nailed on, as are Bish and Mellis. If we go 442 we could maybe drop Macca and start him right wing. That's his best shot.
At home I'd like to see Bish and Mellis with Khan in front. Still leaves the problem of what to do with CJ... We've got 13/14 first team players. The last two managers didn't start him much and I can see the same this season.
