Ref got both key decisions wrong. Clear red after five minutes and no penalty. English refs are bottlers big style when it comes to Stags games regardless of win, draw or defeat. IMO tonight's Stagsnet ref rating 5 at highest. NOTE: I was able to watch the game over here and therefore can comment on the refereeing!

It’s the lack of communication between him and the defence which causes the penalty - daft really. The ref got it wrong though

That said we were falling into our usual trap of falling more and more deep.

It wasn't a penalty and the referee Just guessed.
Not sure about the sending off need to see it again but first thought was the keeper would get there first and the defender to the right of the incident stopped running when he was fouled.
Logan kept us in the game but I don't think he needed to make the challenge for the penalty.
If he'd stayed on his line and they'd scored I'd prob ask why he didn't run out.
Our goal proves why CJ is the best left wing back in our league, the speed the brain to run from our six yard box to their six yard box.
Don't think they will score Sunday but I'm sure we will get 2.
I won't say a word about Danny he gave everything and only wish Grant would be the player we know he is.

Train tickets getting dearer every day. I'm at 68.00 return so far. I imagine Sunday will be 80.00.

Just got back and even though its 1.25 in the morning I decided to fire up the computer to say that I thought Logan was fabulous tonight. I didn't see the incident properly at the time but seeing the re-runs on the highlights its a nailed on NO PENALTY. Never in a million years. That ref should be made to watch his inept performance 100 times. He has robbed us of a lead going into the 2nd leg. No wonder Flynn is smirking in his interview, he knows he's got away with it. Well done to to players. Raised their game. I suppose the only plus point is that we can't sit back on the lead we should have had for the 2nd leg, we have to go for a win so hopefully that's how we will set up.

I'd already booked my bus and train for the final whilst they were cheap. If we don't get there and Nottinghamshire get to the final of the one day cup I will go there instead and if they blob it then there are plenty of other things to do in London.

Why didn't these bleating Premiership supporters do they same and think ahead? Now they are complaining they are getting ripped off. What a surprise. Madrid is a great place for a weekend even if your team lets you down. On that subject we need another all English final!

The referee and his assistants were truly woeful. If the EFL think that important games like the play-offs don’t warrant the best referees, then I despair.

Proud of the boys after last night, they showed real desire and composure. Every time we went forward we looked like we were going to score, Had a couple of good chances and many occasions if we moved the ball right we would of been in. Newport rely on a long ball and that horrible crowd making it hostile. Play like that on Sunday and we should win.
