Would probably have benefited from someone like Cook signing for us now

I don't think Grant n Walker knew he was on the same side never mind CJ n Rose both just as guilty not passing the ball to him

This suggests Ben Turner has turned down our contract and looks set for L1

It has yet to be revealed if Demps will actually play with a 3 across the back, if he reverts to a 2 then we already have a fantastic back-up in any 1 of the current 3 and we will also have Gibbens, who is another year older and stronger.

We took the chance with Bap, Bucko and Naylor and all 3 have thrived in the game. I'm not suggesting that Gibbens will start every game or even many at all, but imagine how much he will learn training and playing alongside Pearce, Preston & Sweeney as opposed to being involved at a lower level. From what I saw of him last season, he has definitely got the ability.

Yeah, just a shame it was at somewhere else!!
Tbh, i'm more than happy to blood youth-teamers, just couldn't stand the ritual booing when their names are read out in the starting line ups after a few bad games. Bap & Bucko were part of the worst team ever apparently?!?!
If we get Graham & Gibbens playing regular then i just hope folks afford them the time and support. Would folks put youth develop above promotion in terms of main priority? I'm not saying it couldn't happen, more that the likely outcome of getting players up to that level takes time.

But it won't be you paying the price, it will be Mr and Mrs Radford. They aim to make this club sustainable, the only way that can happen is if we promote youth. The RHA is millions of pounds worth of investment to add to the already heavily invested work the youth team do at Brooksby. These aren't just for show, they're for a better and brighter future.

read my post again youth, “league games” happy to support cup games 100% if they shine in them less risk, no price to pay Ben

I don't think you're grasping the point I'm trying to make. So, you're happy for the youth players to get possibly 1 League Cup, 1 FA cup and 3 FL Trophy appearances? So 5 appearances in total to 'shine'.
Radford could throw in a lots more money at the playing squad, sign tons of expensive experienced pros and still manage to fall short. Does that sound familiar?
Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results.
Time to give youth a chance.
