The Stags signed him in January 2017 and then he signed a new contract after a good season in June 2018 so he or his agent may have negotiated a pay rise. I can remember we were all wondering whether we would be able to keep him. I would guess £3,000-£3,500 per week is in the right ball park. We were paying £3,500 per week for Paul Anderson according to Dan.
Strikers are usually the highest paid players at the club and it was said on here that we were paying £5,000 per week for Tyler Walker. I think Kane Hemmings was said to be on £4,500-£5,000 per week at Notts County. Chris O'Grady was supposed to be on £4,800 per week at Chesterfield. Salford were supposed to be paying Adam Rooney £4,000 per week. Lincoln were said to be paying around £3,500 per week for John Akinde etc. Salford are now offering £5,000 per week for Will Griggs.

We pay more than 5k a week for Maynard? How do you know that?
That's what I got told. £5500 for Maynard. £3500 for MacDonald.
£3500 a week for MacDonald !!!!
I really hope not.
I think it's likely to be correct, bearing in mind who signed him.
I remember the same manager saying of Macca that he was good enough to play in the Championship. To be fair Macca was playing well at that time.

£3,750 mate.
Also we did pay 100% of Tyler Walkers wages at £5,000 a week.

So you’re telling me that Barkhuizen left Morecambe and demanded 50k a week at chuffing Preston?
