Now been confirmed. Mistake letting him go, always had potential. Instead we signed Yoann Arquin and the following summer, Jimmy Spencer.

Sometimes the shock of dropping down can be what players need. That might have been the motivation he needed? Getting regular football would definitely have helped his fitness which seemed to be the big problem.

Appreciate that but he clearly had potential. We could have loaned him instead of sold him. He never started a league game for us, played in an average team and still managed more league goals than everyone bar Tyler and CJ this season.

Agreed, but fitness is something that can easily be solved.

He's like the opposite of CJ. He couldn't do anything when he came here, other than run really fast. He's improved the technical side of his game and now we are seeing the benefits. Adi had the instinct of a goalscorer, just not the fitness at that point.

Not in 26 games apparently!
26 games is easily 4 months - if he's puffing like Thomas the Tank with COPD after all that time then it always seemed likely he wouldn't step up. Far less controversial than some of the others we let go like Lee Gregory, imo

Not 26 starts, 26 appearances, an average of 24 minutes per appearance. He seems to have done ok starting games since.

It's not the match-time that's important bud, more so his duration at the club.
If he'd only played 5 mins game time he should still easily be fit enough for 60+ mins, if he'd worked on his fitness during those 4+ months.
