Bad news for Stags and Ajose. I don't think we ever really saw him fully fit and match sharp. Would you like to see him back with a full pre-season here or do you expect DF to go out and find better?

Ajose, Rose, Davies, Graham all been out with long-term injuries. Then you throw White, Macca and Bobby into the mix - we've been ridiculously unlucky with injuries.

Tough when a large number of those play the same position, we’ve occasionally looked short of a plan b up top and injuries have been a big reason why.
I didn’t really work out for Ajose, there’s a decent striker in there but we didn’t see him. I’m guessing fitness played a big part in that.

Really!!! Not much cover. I get you mean he’s not been great but we are short up front imo. Just hope CJ and Walker keep their good partnership going hey.

Injured? Or a convenient way to end a loan that wasn't working? Fans didn't like him, I can remember at least three sitters he missed, debut, forest green and the comical header. Best way to end everyone's misery.

I cannot believe the comments on here ...the guy is injured and probably feeling v low
At times the immaturity displayed is incredible. It hasn’t worked out but I wish him a speedy recovery
Sometimes best to say nothing and he has played at a higher level and we are now another striker short and some are happy with that ???

Hes a good player who's struggled.... I can imagine a full pre-season and full fitness in league two he'd be decent enough. One of those players who's found himself above his level and struggling for old form and confidence

An out of form striker will miss sitters, aka Danny Rose back end of last season and Hemmings.
OK he missed some guilt edge chances but some of his approach play and assists, if any cares to remember those, were a league above L2. I will remember the winning goal away at Colchester for a lot of reasons but Ajose put in a peach of a ball for CJ.

Shame as we need a backup. He hasn't been great but was capable and just about our only other option so not great news really.
A bad Ajose is better than no Ajose

Yes, just what our exceptional 4-1 win over Exeter needed was a bad Ajose

Say what you like, he's another long term injured player, who knows when he might have been needed and score the winner in the later stages of the season.
Some of the insulting rubbish on here are unacceptable, opinions are opinions I guess but there are ways of saying things without being totally stupid. OK, Nicky has not been on fire, seem to remember the " send Walker back to Forest" thread, isn't it great that we didn't?

We never got to see the best of him but who's to say he didn't have a major part to play? All it takes is a goal at this stage.
Some of you lot get way to emotional, and pick on a player due to that.

we missed creativity in the middle today. good to have rose back who puts himself about and isn't afraid of going up for the ball despite his nasty injury.

If Ajose ‘wasn’t afraid of going up for the ball’ he still would not be able to get a ‘rizla cigarette paper’ under his feet. Remember the header chance against Crew Alex??

I still think our best central midfield at home is Bish, Baby Bish and Mellis. Macca is a cracking player but I really do not know where he should play - maybe right wing back?

I thought that today. I'm sure he was like a skinny gangly kid last time I saw him. He looks a proper unit now.

I agree, though not with your spelling of weetabix
I had to check the line up on the BBC website before I realised it was him.
