The Stags win on a muddy pitch 2 - 0. Cheered on by 1500 Stags fan that are steering clear of the home catering.
Rather looking forward to hearing the Burslem faithful chant, ‘You can shove pies and pasties up your arse’ to their chairman.

There’s a supporters bar at the ground where away fans are welcome.

Don't get too excited it's a dump!
I know you're one for the shiny lego brick grounds with your panoramic photos (and very nice they are too), but I have a bit of a fetish for dumps like Luton and Grimsby. Hoping this lives up to expectations!
It’s a proper ground, I loved it last season. Can make some great noise from the away end as well
Bit weird. Four newish stands but still got the feel of an old fashion ground. Got a strange 5th stand in one corner. Liked the look of the new stand with the executive boxes. Something similar but smaller for Bishop st.

There are some good pubs in Burslem including The Bull's Head which sells the beers brewed by the local Titanic brewery. I remember bumping into Spartacus and friends there last season.

Tom Pope to score his 100th goal for Vale to give them the lead before the Stags storm back to win 3-1.

Making my 13th visit watching Stags play at Vale Park.
1st time was the televised 4-1 victory in 1976, when it was a proper old school ground.
We also finished the season as champions.
Hoping for more of the above.

If you look closely on that video you can see me standing on the terrace behind the goal in that match.

Love the Luton and Grimsby grounds. Probably my least favourite currently is Northampton- even worse than the old cricket ground.

Nowhere makes Luton look nice.

I was a 7 year old sat near the tv camaras that day. You could hear me shouting on the highlights.

I would recommend "The Leopard", 5 minutes walk to Vale Park and it welcomes away supporters
https://whatpub.com/pubs/POT/2870/leopa ... e-on-trent - Decent pint of Bass in there.

Vale are scrapping for their lives, and Tom Pope is a punisher of defensive mistakes. I think this could be a jittery game for all concerned
I would love a Port Vale 0-1 Mansfield (Ajose). That'd do nicely for me.

Hopefully a professional performance with a goal to Mansfield in each half as part of a 2 nil win.

Big test for Grant, to show us he can perform away from home.
Come on Jorge we know you can do it.

The players looked really relaxed this morning going out for training. I’m going for a 1-3 win to the Stags. This squad look really together.

All our games from now are going to be difficult. Port Vale need the points, so it won't be easy.
There will be another blip in the run in.
I can remember we were going so well in the run in during the promotion season and we had a shock defeat at Braintree, which added more pressure on the remaining games.
COYS.

Can't think of many games where I felt as low as when we'd lost there

They'll know what's what.
Need 3pts tomorrow. We simply can not put in another Newport or Notts away type performance again this season if we want autos.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.
