Oh sorry, meant to put 'Can see us winning all our remaining games 15-0, and the fact we've won less than 50% of the previous 34 is immaterial in the grander scheme of things. We'll win the League by 6 points'.

Silly me eh!

Lincolns run in is much harder than ours.

Ours and MK's are "easier" on paper.

Still, 1 game at a time -

Saturday -
Mansfield - home Cheltenham
Bury - home to Macclesfield
MK - home to Crawley
Lincoln - away to Exeter

The top 3 of that list all have very winnable games - Lincoln have their game in hand tomorrow at Exeter - a draw there would do nicely

A 50% win ratio is not as bad as it seems:
Lincoln have 55%
Bury have 53%
MK Dons have 50%
Stags have 47% (well up from approx 33% around Oct/Nov)
The rest are 45% and below.

A few months ago we were around 12th in games won (although lost only 1).
We are now winning more but losing more hence cutting out the draws.
If we can win 23 or 24 games this season and throw in a few more draws we should be ok for 3rd at least.
First match : 04.01.1975 home v Cambridge Utd F.A.Cup 3rd Round 1-0 Clarke

Never said it was bud, bud some think we'll increase that to 75% in the last 12 games, and that taking into account the lack of strikers we have atm seems a little optimistic. Just as a look back the last time we went up from this division we in fact lost 6 of the last 12 games, winning 5 and drawing one.

Before New Year we obtained 42 points from 23 games - 1.83 a game
After New Year (inc NYD) we've obtained 19 points from 11 games - 1.73 a game.

The current ratio of 1.73 a game would take us to 82 points.

In the last 5 seasons 82 points would be enough for promotion 3 times, another would be level with 4th on GD

I do love a good formula of if we win lose or draw we only need 21 points......

But we only need to finish in the top 3 to go up automatically if the teams around us don't better our results every time we play.....

It's funny, it feels like we've had a bit of a blip recently - but actually we are 2nd in the form table for the last 8 games, having taken 16 points from them. If we carry on at the rate of 2 points per game for the last 12 games then we'd be on 85 points and probably in the Top 3, and it'd take an almost unprecedented run of form from anyone below us to get above us.
