Early 2000s video footage.

Postby ParisStag » Fri Jan 25, 2019 1:53 pm

Does anyone know where I could find any footage online of some of the brilliant goals scored by the likes of Greenacre, Corden, Christie, etc in the 2000-2004ish era? I used to have loads of them downloaded in an old PC, but can't remember where they came from originally. There's the odd game on YouTube, but not much of Wayno and the Greenacre scissor-kick vs Shrewsbury doesn't seem to be anywhere from what I can see. Cheers.

One I’ve never been able to find was Neil MacKenzie’s winner at Hull. One of my first away day memories that

Good memories, that kit was fantastic the season we got promoted. We’ve not had a better one since IMO.

Keep them coming

We didn’t wear any of the kits from the above videos during our promotion season.

Them vids are from the season before.

Correct, I didn’t look closely enough.

Still, great kits.

To this day I still don’t understand how Carlton Palmer thought it was a good idea to sell him.

I put those up on youtube, took them from the excellent goals on DVD weekly thing that came out at the time.

I have the Mackenzie goal on tape somewhere.I have quite a few goals and highlights I recorded off the TV from that era including the 9 man win at Cambridge, both legs off the 2004 play off semi and the 3-1 win at Huddersfield...oh and the 4-2 win at Team Bath.Remember them? :D
Whether i can find them all in my pile of old tapes is another thing.

We were directly behind the shot, it was pretty much in from the minute it left his boot. What a player, what a gent. Wasn't the Blake goal the week after, or quite close after. I remember that goal too, not a fan of Blake at the time and sat with Richmond Stag and got the perfect view of his goal.

My best memory at Field Mill was Mansfield v Brentford in 1999, iyesden Christie came on in about the 86th minute, first touch of the ball, span on two defenders and scored a goal, came up to the west stand lower, and shook my hand.
As a young lad that really made an impression, and is one of the main things that really cemented Mansfield in my heart, even if I do now live 300 miles away!
I very much doubt anyone has a copy of that though, do they?
