Reading Hardy’s pre season gloating of Mansfield fans on Twitter is pure comedy gold.

“Agent Hemmings” and “relegation Dennis” have become Stags legends, keep up the good work lads :)

Brother in law (in a fashion) is a County fan.

He says 'If they get relegated they'll still be a bigger club than Mansfield'

Can we argue with him on that statement??

Nope, if that makes him happy. They'll also no longer be the oldest professional football club in the World, how does he feel about that?

Newcastle & Sunderland both massive clubs, both crap for as long as anyone can remember.
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.

A clubs size is only ever mentioned when they're raspberries.

It's the only thing county could have over us, so may as well mention it. Won't do them any good in the conference

This is the crap I'm getting all the time from them. Like it really matters who is bigger. All I get from them is how we've only got 3 stands & how we can only get 3-4,000 fans. I keep telling them we're just a small town not a big city but it makes no difference. They sound like our neighbours down the A617! One of them scoffed at our attendance the other night & said "that's embarrassing". I just replied with "Being 92nd is embarrassing"

Some of them who I know who are really top blokes, they've said they would love to be in our position both on and off the field as they're jealous of how well we're run, the training ground & also the way JR & CR go about their business. I was surprised at how many came to our game on Tuesday night as well. Shame we weren't at our best but glad we nicked the points.

Well put Beano, they’re only using the bigger argument as they can’t argue the better one. I’d also argue the professional title given Hardy’s antics and how they compare to us off the field these days!

I have had the experience of working with County fans all my life. At one company i worked with a father and his two sons. They all looked down on us as being inferior. The old man was less vindictive and told me about the 'old days at county'. He told me the huge crowds back in his youth were down to many Nottingham fans going to home games of both teams. He told me he had seen as many Forest matches as he had at County. It was the only thing to do.
He then enjoyed watching County more when hooliganism started creeping in during the late sixties at Forest matches as he deemed it safer.
His oldest son however, was very quiet and meek, would never say boo to anyone. Once he got behind a keyboard he has become a vicious person who hates everything Mansfield with a major passion. To make it worse he is a MEMBER on the safety advice group that assesses Field Mill. Go figure...
Why do the two football teams I support always let me down.

They're a bigger club than many but bottom of the entire football league... surely thats more embarrassing than being a small club.

Still can't believe how crap they are with all the money spent and some of the players they have

Perhaps it time we changed the thread to congratulate county on being 92nd in the leagues.
After all its a remarkable achievement for such a 'big club' with massive crowds and a megarich chairman. Plus highly paid talented individual players to be in such a Dire predicament. I dont think any other club (disregarding Spirites) could have achieved such a feat.
Well done them and all who've contributed to that fiasco

There is a simple solution to this:

Divorce her and you will never have anything to do with him. Other than meeting him for a pint twice a year when they are playing AFC Mansfield in the league.

The club size, fan base jibes from them is built up on jealousy and being envious of how well our club is run from the very top to the football in the community, even as far as having a blind football team. They realise how raspberries their owner is and try to blank it out with jibes at us super stag fans. Just like our friendly non league giants across the m1

Mate,

The interesting thing about it is, back in 2014/15 i was discussing ground improvement with one of the directors and he told me that the club had nobody working within the club with any knowledge of H&S at Field Mill for years prior to that season and in his opinion, the same bloke went to town on Field Mill and the club in general because of this, he had revelled in his own self importance and power over the club. Then the stags started to fightback by getting the right people in and they questioned his reasoning in keeping our match day attendance capacity well below its actual capacity. Since then our capacity has risen to much higher levels.

Apart from that he stated to a friend of mine that half of our actual crowds were carers because ' the Mansfield inbreds need assistance because, they are not fit to be let out alone'

if it was up to him, he'd try to get us kicked out the league to save his beloved 'counteh' disappearing into the abyss.
