They all looked down on us as being inferior. The old man was less vindictive and told me about the 'old days at county'. He told me the huge crowds back in his youth were down to many Nottingham fans going to home games of both teams. He told me he had seen as many Forest matches as he had at County. It was the only thing to do.
He then enjoyed watching County more when hooliganism started creeping in during the late sixties at Forest matches as he deemed it safer.
His oldest son however, was very quiet and meek, would never say boo to anyone. Once he got behind a keyboard he has become a vicious person who hates everything Mansfield with a major passion. To make it worse he is a MEMBER on the safety advice group that assesses Field Mill. Go figure...
If they go down that's all our kick offs moved to 1pm then
Mate,
The interesting thing about it is, back in 2014/15 i was discussing ground improvement with one of the directors and he told me that the club had nobody working within the club with any knowledge of H&S at Field Mill for years prior to that season and in his opinion, the same bloke went to town on Field Mill and the club in general because of this, he had revelled in his own self importance and power over the club. Then the stags started to fightback by getting the right people in and they questioned his reasoning in keeping our match day attendance capacity well below its actual capacity. Since then our capacity has risen to much higher levels.
Apart from that he stated to a friend of mine that half of our actual crowds were carers because ' the Mansfield inbreds need assistance because, they are not fit to be let out alone'
if it was up to him, he'd try to get us kicked out the league to save his beloved 'counteh' disappearing into the abyss.
Why do the two football teams I support always let me down.
