I don't think so. What you do have are debts to at least two councils and the National League. For a club to go with the begging bowl to council tax payers and the league for money to get them through the season then pay fees for players seems astounding ( and in my view morally wrong).

A Chesterfield fan I know indicates that your "million pound"" manager is demanding of the board and invariably gets what he demands. Given the number of players in and out since he's been with you ( both in andl out ), would suggest this has an element of truth.

The clubs next two set of accounts will be interesting reading. It's almost as if your old chairman, Mr Allen or some other benefactor is bank rolling the club.

Looking at social media many fans of other National League clubs are very critical of events at Cheaterfield.
